Good taste, OP but The writer sisters manga is my personal favorite part of the Watamote cinematic universe

It's easily their best work.

Loved how dumb the MC was. Loved how her friends response to cheer her up after she realized she was flashing the whole school her underwear everyday was to explain they only saw certain kinds of underwear before listing off the different color panties they saw her wearing under her tights.

Where does Choku fit into the WCU?

I liked how it actually discussed the books a little and gave some fanservice for the people who read -- unlike Ascendance of a book worm

It's non-canon tv show material

I liked this.
write sisters is boring

Yeah it's kind of a shame it was so focused on Japanese literature tho, I think of all the authors they talked about I'd only even heard of maybe two of them. It's a funny series anyway, but I think I prefer Miss Bernard Said for this reason.

>blond guy start talking about how he was beaten
kek

>Miss Bernard Said
Ah, a fellow man of culture. I wonder if we're ever gonna get new chapters again.

It would make little sense for there to be much discussion of existing books in Ascendance; there isn't anyone Myne could reasonably discuss them with.

Japanese comic written by a Japanese person for a Japanese audience mainly discusses Japanese books. How shocking.

It's not so much discussion but if she;s such a book worm, I'd like at least a quote or two. People who read a shit ton are usually effected in some way by what they read beyond "I love muh books." But we get zilch, nada, nothing. I just think it would be neat

Not saying there's anything wrong with it, it's just less interesting to me personally

It would be nice, but the series isn't significantly lesser for not having it.

That's fair enough. But I view things like that as something to broaden my horizons a little, rather than make me happy by mentioning something I already know.

I feel like it would've made Myne's character a little more real.

Maybe. Not everyone who's into books feels the need to compare everything they see to something they've read in a novel.

based retard

That's not what I'm saying: if her life is reading, her personality and mannerism would have some resemblance. A lot of avid readers I know like dropping the odd quote when relevant even if nobody gets it.

Oh man I loved this when this was dumped
Thanks for remind me of this op.

Sure. But there are also a lot of avid readers don't do that.

There are also a lot of avid readers who wouldn't wake up in a magical world and think "I need to find a book". If Myne is autistic about read, you'd think she'd be autistic about what's being read to some capacity

I haven't read it, they don't talk about literature? How does the bookworm part come into play?

I fear the day this gets cancelled too

This does lightly discuss the books and authors the characters a reading but Bookworm doesn't even hint to real world books or others and books are referred to very generally

These things manifest themselves in different ways in different people. Myne's obsession is with books generally and reading them being an end in itself, whereas other book-obsessed isekai protagonists might not care so much about the medium of books but the tropes of the specific stories they've read.

On the subject of literature girl, 9 is probably on her way to becoming one

Honestly that doesn't sound as interesting as I'd hoped but I'll still give it a shot.

I miss this manga
