Who was the best Yugioh villain?
Who was the best Yugioh villain?
Marik desu
Marik > Pegasus >>>>>>>> Aigami >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bakura
Me, the guy who didn't buy any Yugioh cards because I thought they were dumb.
you didn't buy the cards because you were the real monster...
Bakura and it's not even close.
bakura was by far the best, marik was okay but losing to joey + the way he lost to yami was kinda dumb.
They are all shit.
Marik by far.
Easily Pegasus
Kaiba obviously
>losing to Joey
Marik wasn't even trying to beat Joey, he just wanted to make him suffer. When Marik is actually trying it required 2 Egyptian God cards and the help of Kaiba for Yugi to win.
Pegasus since he actually had depth.
>Marik wasn't even trying to beat Joey, he just wanted to make him suffer.
He was one card away from having his whole plan ruined. And even he didn't expect Joey to last as long as he did after the attack.
muh wife died now im edgy is not depth
Marik is so kino, I can't believe it. His voice in the dub is perfect
If you are looking at it like that then ofc you won't see anything.
all i remember is the crazy laser battle with bakura.......the fuck was that about
Sartorius because same voice actor as Dio
Isn't this the same backstory summary as for Bakura?
hes british so he gets away with it
marik is edgy af
Any villain who hedges their plans on the backs of playing children's card games is shit. I know it's the point to sell the cards to dumb kids but even as a child myself I though this was a moronic premise. Like seriously just kneecap them.
Marik and Bakura's voices are so much better in the dub it's not funny. Same with Yugi, it seems to be an issue with the Yami forms.
In American they actually sound like manly badasses once transformed, like they grow a pair and age 10 years older. The sub voices speak their lines wonderfully but the voices themselves still sound too soft to me instead of going full Batman / Superman
>Like seriously just kneecap them.
You can't just take the items user you need to win them in a shadow game.
It's one of those odd series where the english actors are fine but the lines they are given to read are shit, would love to see them do the original lines.
Noah
Yeah in Marik and Bakura's defense, they clearly have some dark magic protecting them and the items themselves would probably kill you if you tried to shoot them with a gun or punch them in the face. The millennium items also probably compell them to fight with magic cards in dark duels, emulating the rituals from Egypt.
Though Marik and Bakura could definitely just kill everyone else without a millennium item using their powers without playing card games.
Pegasus objective is fine though, he needs to have Yugi lose the Duelist Kingdom tournament. His plan doesn't require brute force, dude isn't trying world domination or something
>Though Marik and Bakura could definitely just kill everyone else without a millennium item using their powers without playing card games.
Well in the manga Bakura does that to Pegasus but still has to play the laser duel to do it so it seems like there is something forcing them to compete.
Kaiba for spending millions to build a theme park and hiring mercenaries just to kill a teenager who beat him in a card game.
There was no laser duel in the manga.
Kaiba always wanted to build a theme park.
what do you all think of this filler arc years later now. I hated it as a kid, but now....idk
Bakura is the best villain in the manga, without a doubt. The anime completely ruins him by butchering his introduction, changing the part where he inserts part of his soul into the puzzle and having ungodly amounts of filler where he's just totally absent so you forget he's even a thing.
>and having ungodly amounts of filler where he's just totally absent so you forget he's even a thing
I still love them leaving Marik on the airship to go dick around in cyberspace for a bit.
I only saw the abridged version, I'll be reaching those subbed episodes in about 2 weeks but it seems kind of absolutely important. How Kaiba got his corporation, the whole orphanage backstory and Gozaburo Kaiba are things explained during the first arc of the Yugioh Manga but that wasn't adapted into the Duel Monsters anime, so I won't skip it, it's the backstory the anime was missing.
the abriged series adaption of the ark is absolute gold, the nuking part has me in stitches every time, its a shame the series stopped being funny after kaibas tournament.
the abriged series now has the canon kaiba voice, no other voice fits him
Gonna have to disagree with you there, Tsuda's ham is the best.
