speedscumming is a zoomer thing, anyone with more than one brain cell could understand how to read properly.

Can you explain to me wtf it even is? I've been reading manga since my teens and I have no clue what the fuck this new term is meant to mean. They read fast? Whys that bad? Help a retarded boomer out

You know, creating this thread only makes the Speed Devil stronger, right?

There is always going to be speedreaders because they're there just to get to the 'hype' that they pretty much ignore everything else in the chapter. CSM, OP, MHA, BC all have many of them.

It means reading so fast that you completely overlook hints, subtext, subtle details and so on. Which many people seem to do, only to then come here and complain about how confusing or nonsensical something is when in reality they just didn't take the time to take everything in.

BASED, fucking saved

are onepisstards reverse trolling csm now they're finished with hunter x hunter?

fuck off back to your containment thread you tranny obsessed freak

Shut up, Wan trannypissfag.

Honestly, it took me a couple reads to understand the significance of that chapter in CSM. Fuji is brilliant at using subtlety for his panels and framing; had to re-read some Fire Punch stuff too

if most people missed it then guess what, fujimoto is a bad writer who didn't clearly convey his story

Can someone break this down barney style for me? I still dont get it

Anybody with a functional brain could get it on the first read, assuming they're not speedreading. The fact you couldn't makes you a brainlet and you got filtered.

Is this why One Piece is popular? Because everything is explicitly stated at least twice for the benefit of speedreaders and brainlets?

But there's nothing to get.

so what does the left part of OP's pic mean?

Its because readers aren't used to being mislead in a non mystery series most manga have conditioned readers to assume everything a character states about the world to be completely true and often absolute.
For a lot of action series though it makes sense since you have so much world building to get through that you don't want to waste to much time on characters speculating and investigating contradictory information. In fact thinking about it its quite rare to have characters speculate usually readers are kept in the dark until the reveal to maintain impact if the characters speculate and give enough hints the reveal loses some of its impact. Hunter x Hunter kind of has this problem where the characters do speculate and come across misinformation but often the speculation is too close to reality often only off by a single factor which the characters and readers are left in the dark about to preserve impact.

Santa who is a german agent asks for 3 kids for a devil contract.
He then uses 3 of those kids for a devil contract
There's no twists there in the image. The only possible twist you could claim in that scenario is expecting the kids to be used for the puppet devil, however this retarded image barely touches on that. Santa being a puppet is a twist for sure, but it's not a twist from the setup in that image

rubber man manga twisty twisty wordy wordy
chain man manga twisty twisty pretty pictures
retards only read wordy wordy and don't look at pretty pictures

how the FUCK did you speedread the image meant to explain how NOT to speedread?
santa is not the fucking grandpa puppet. makima tells the reader santa is in germany. then we cut to germany and there's an old man asking for children to use for a contract. this is meant to make the reader assume the old man puppet is santa, which is in reality not the fucking case; later on makima directly addresses tolka's master, calling her SANTA CLAUS.

Ah, like how when there are retarded comments from people at the bottom of a chapter completely missing major plot points. That makes sense, I can understand why a term developed for this. Thanks for answering me.

sasuga user, you just proved OP's image

you fool

translate weebs

This, people who only follow the hype are the worst.

>Its because readers aren't used to being mislead in a non mystery series most manga have conditioned readers to assume everything a character states about the world to be completely true and often absolute.
ding ding ding! Most readers are fucking idiots with no capacity for independent thought

*capability

It's Hunterfags founding a new shounen to latch unto after too long hiatus. You can tell by their same pattern: they always have gripes against One Piece.

there is nothing wrong with spedreading mediocre series like csm, u didnt miss much

fuck off and no one wants you

t. tranny piss fag

Enjoy your faggot manga.

>tell them you ran him over

Take your meds. Or are you going to claim that Fire Punch is also by falseflaggers?
