It’s really hard to make a rapist likable. The type of people that commit rape tend be mentally unstable creeps, and most people don’t want that as their protagonist. Sure, there are charismatic and sociable rapists, but to be a rapist you still need to be kind of a bad person, you know? Not exactly hero material.
