Urasekai Picnic

>start reading expecting cute girls doing cute picnic stuff with maybe some action
>get girls facing otherworldy horrors and getting more and more fucked up in the head with every encounter + S.T.A.L.K.E.R
Not what i was expecting, but i'm not complaining. I hope the adaption does it justice because this has some really trippy moments.

please respond...

I really enjoyed it too OP, I'm sure we'll get more discussion once the anime comes out and translations on the manga pick up again. The sheer strangeness and variety of what the girls encounter has really kept the story from getting too formulaic like most of the other LNs I've read.

This was on my ever growing backlog, but I hate reading LNs

is it yuri?

Yes

The chapter 6 of the manga just got translated.

I've been consistently disappointed with the quality of writing in pretty much every LN I've read until this one. I think if you give it a shot you'll be pleasantly surprised.

>Picnic

so roadside picnic you should read OP is an amazing short novel by boris strugatsky.

I have been waiting for my library to get it for a week and half. I wanted to read it when i played the stalker games but this is what finally made me actually go and try to buy it.

Which one of you picked up the manga?

She was probably ultrablued

But she never went into the otherworld before, she's just a natural loli.

What about items? She could get it from them.

Nice, hope TL will continue
Manga is a good adaptation

Kozakura introduced me to hot cola.

Also, Sorawo is fucking insane.

I think it's the kind of thing that yuri needs more of. I don't mind schoolgirl yuri, but right now it's still the overwhelming majority without much variety. Things are getting better though.

Which should I read? LN or manga?
Links to english for both?

It's their daughter

threadly reminder that the strugatsky brothers are of the (((tribe)))

Strugastky Brothers technically have fucktons of other stuff written, mostly sci-fi.
Their most known works are probably Monday begins on Saturday, which is about an institute researching magic, and World of Noon, the world where communism won, solved education (everybody has a unique education plan tailored to them) and history prediction and went into space, a kind of Soviet Star Trek written from the heart. It mostly concerns itself with complicated moral quandaries, discussions on society and alien uplifting, gradually going from utopian to cynical as books go by and authors got disillusioned with USSR promise. In first novels people were choosing between good and better, in later ones it became choice between several shit options.
There was also a mystery novel where it turned the killed person was an alien robot, I think.
It's pretty distinctive and interesting, overall. Pretty highly regarded in Russia.

Stalker the g*me or Stalker the film?
Because nothing can ever come close to the film.

Yuri for everyone, for free!

Is it true that one of Fem MC's was born from two mothers.?

>english

Yes that's true.

k. the book is still good tho

>>get girls facing otherworldy horrors and getting more and more fucked up in the head with every encounter + S.T.A.L.K.E.R
