And they'd be absolutely right to think so. I only started reading Baki after Ashura finished, and goddamn I'm glad I didn't sooner. Ashura has its peaks, but on the whole pales to reach Baki's level. I think it really just shows how huge is the difference between a mangaka who enjoys watching martial arts, and a mangaka who is an actual martial artist.

Kengan author loves Baki tho'. And Kengan Omega is super shit, Kengan Asura was decent but they didn't keep up with the grim and mature initial tone and it kind of became One Piece.
