It didn't end when it should have. You either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain.

She was suppose to learn (not becoming a total slut in trying to get popular) to value Friendship with the few genuine friends she has, AND to act less like a total freak.

But that didn't happen.

nothing

Didn't fuck her brother.

Based and Kurocestpilled.

>18 volumes
how long will this shit go on

Tomoko hasn't fucked Asuka yet.

she grew as a person and became relatively normal and Zig Forums can no longer self insert so they hate it

We all know in real life Tomoko would be a school dropout because of heavy bullying and spend the rest of his life in shitty half time jobs while trying to psychologically recover herself.

self-insertfags got btfo

so?

This

We'd be reading a better story if that happened.

this, most of its fans didn't want a story with a character arc, they just wanted the same situation/joke played out over 50 volumes with fanservice.

half of her friends are boring as fuck and annoying
she should get better friends

>ABLO BLOOO POOR ME I SUFFER SO MUCH MAN IS THE WORST MONSTER OF ALL for countless pages
>better story

While I pretty much dropped Watamote after the detention arc, it was to this point actually enjoyable to read unlike the misery porn you want so much.

I want to protect Yomoko's smile. She has done what many of us couldn't and we should be happy for her.

I agree. It would be a better story if the cast didn't bloat so fast. The Kyoto group, Yuu, Komi-something and Nemo would be enough.

Tomoko*

I like to see characters suffer and abused, that makes it worth the ride. Happiness is objectively boring and overrated as a narrative device.

Based on the covers, she apparently went Super Saiyan Grey

Conflict is necessary, we agree as much, but misery for the sake of misery isn't interesting in the slightest and you just roll your eyes.
That's what makes manga like Eden or western comics like Crossed so boring.

I'm happy my waifu made friends and got popular. The manga will probably end when she graduates so it's best to leave it on a good note.

>most of its fans didn't want a story with a character arc
That sounds fucking weird to me because every slice of life ero comedy I come across has people foaming at the mouth for PROGRESS and shit. It's like people can't take stories for what the author wants to do with them and almost feel entitled as to it's direction.

>That's what makes manga like Eden or western comics like Crossed so boring.
I think those two would be boring regardless if they choose to use misery porn or not because their plot sucks. Anyway, the misery I meant is not something like constant cycle of endless pain but rather something like trying to find happiness amongst in terrible situations as in sort of a humane way like Strongest Man Kurosawa and Sekitou Elegy.

>she grew as a person and became relatively normal
This is the most annoying meme the internet has ever invented, that doesn't happen, people don't magically become relatively normal and it's the worst "character development" ever, it unfortunately happens in 99% of stories about growing up as well.

> people don't magically become relatively normal
Most weird kids do grow up and stop being so awkward. The fact that you regard it as some kind of odious lie reveals your world-class autism. Are you mad that you can't become happy too?

That being said, Tomoko growing up has made this manga unbearably boring.

>Tomoko growing up has made this manga unbearably boring
Growing up is boring, what would you expect?

>people don't magically become relatively normal
it happens all the time, user
you just wouldn't know because you'd never put forth the effort to try for whatever reason
nobody expects you to ditch your entire personality, but you can still make a concerted effort toward being more presentable and social, regardless of how much it might clash with your true person.
that's how people make friends. that's what this entire manga is about
she's not a different person. she's a grown person

>This is the most annoying meme the internet has ever invented, that doesn't happen, people don't magically become relatively normal
just because you stayed as an awkward weirdo doesn't mean other awkward weirdos didn't grow up and become normal
t. former awkward weirdo

i havent read this manga in 6 years and got to about volume 7, what happened bros?
