I don´t know why but I lost some interest when it started to focus on the girls. In the beginning, the story was kind of a deconstruction of the RomCom genre, slice-of-life, characters joking around, or at least that´s what I remember.
Can´t write down what I think. I guess I just want people´s opinion on the series, good, bad, and rants.
Yes but that already happened way earlier, at the beginning it was a fun read because 8man was a little bit unconventional. It was retarded but fun, after a few volumes the whole thing turned into drama 24/7, no more humour and at the end it basically kind of became what it was making fun of. Fate or incompetence? Who knows, who cares. Around the time season two of the anime started airing the fanbase, perhaps due to the good and openly available LN translations of the lad himself, "gained" a lot of underaged third worlders. They decided to stay and have made it their goal to ruin every Oregairu thread of the past and future.
Asher Allen
The series started out good, if a bit different than the norm. But I think the writer wanted to tell a story in which he lost sight of.
Jaxon Rodriguez
Maybe it's just because I binged the series in 2 days, but I really liked it and I liked seeing 8man go from angry cynical man, to where he's started to change because of his friends. I don't see a problem with that. It's good that they're focusing on the girls, because they were pretty standard tropes. Now they're all growing up. One is having to accept her family, the other is starting to take steps to actually get what she wants. It's not a perfect development, but I think a lot of you are just mad that they're becoming better people, while you're all staying the same.
Jaxon Barnes
It was anti-romcom. Now it's just plain romcom
Nathaniel Wood
Supposedly vol 10 foreshadows the ending based on something WW said years ago. Most think it's the shrine visit, but interpreting it is difficult. It may not be that part specifically though. Did something ever come out of that?
Thomas Watson
I'd say it is about Yukino and Hachiman's conversation on top of the ride at Disneyland. Yukino will try to solve shit on her own to shed her codependence on Hachiman sacrificing himself but he will help her anyways after he realizes he loves her and can't stand watching her suffer. And no, nothing ever came out of that.
Kayden King
Yukino's character went to shit. She still acted "strong" during the whole student council shit, but after she got mindbroken, she became mushy and weak, a shadow of her former self. This never recovered in the later volumes.
Gabriel Torres
Yeah, originally it was focused on Hachiman's philosophy, but now it's kind of a generic babie's first love triangle with tons of korean-tier drama.
I'm only still following it because I'm too invested at this point, but there's tons of shitty kdrama and teen romance novels that do the premise better.
Yukino was always a broken, sensitive girl who was like a doll around those she admired.
Mason Gray
Co-dependence was always a retarded meme and Sensei calling out that bullshit is honestly the best part of vol 14, though I admit that seeing superficial thot like Yui get her just desserts was also pretty satisfying
Blake Morris
The series should have ended on a loner ending for both Hachiman and Yukinoshita. They'll leave the story as better people than what they started out as but if they actually get together it would undo a lot of character development for them both.
Chase Miller
Go back to red.dit.
David Watson
No it doesn't. Hachiman and yukino finding someone who loves them for who they are was great. Hachiman and yukino accepted each other's flaws. Them getting together made all the Sense.
Connor Davis
But that's where lonerfags like you belong
Blake Phillips
Also Yukino the best, season 2 of the anime was a bit melodramatic but I think there's some ultimate irony in that it became exactly that kind of overdramatized romcom it satirized in the start. I took it as a statement on human nature, and on how we inevitably gravitate towards certain things no matter how long we struggle to keep them a certain way.
Nicholas Garcia
It's a deconstruction of a deconstruction. Hachiman was right to shed his optimistic worldview but he went too cynical. This series is about fixing it to be less cynical rather than affirming it to be the right path for him.
Hudson Gonzalez
' plebbit hated a loner ending, considering yukino won a poll there.
Lucas Cooper
Was it a poll of girls or poll of preferred endings?
Luis Green
poll of girls, just look at the reaction during volume 14 release. Alot of joy that Yukino got a happy ending.
Nicholas Cruz
Why would you know about their polls? Nice job outing yourself as a crossposting plebbitfag.
Leaving the plebbitors aside, how do anons in this thread feel about the anthologies?
Jace Gomez
Well it's good that even Plebbit knows Yukino ending was the best choice. Iroha is still best girl.
Landon Hill
It was posted here, you fag. Back when newfags were comparing mai to yukino.
If Mai is your point of reference, you are newfag as well user
Aaron Powell
It seems you are unable to read, the threads here on Zig Forums anons were posting plebbit polls of Yukino and Mai to discredit them. It was mostly Iroha/Yuifags to talk shit about Yukino. Did you some how forget that?
Oliver Butler
Who is this Mai?
Josiah Taylor
I disliked the way that the the story progressed. Just like you said, it wasn´t perfect development. What´s wrong with not enjoying how the story went on about what is truth and whatnot? What´s wrong about disliking people that don´t know him talking about him like they know him by the book and trying to make him feel bad because of the way he does things?
Justin Jackson
From Bunny Girl Senpai. Yukinofags were upset because she looks a bit like Yukino.
>paying attentiong to plebbitpoll derails You should learn to ignore trivial bullshit like that, ends up saving your time. Only exception I can think of was YPF's tragicomical attempt because bringing that up was guaranteed way to make the sperg butthurt
Zachary Ortiz
1st season was good. That's it.
Levi Sanchez
Meh, season 2 was better. And Feel is better than brain base.
