If it's purely one on one, from what I gather I'd say fuck no. Her main advantage in fights is being bigger than the rest. Now she's up against a murder machine that's in her size league and he's supposed to have multiple quirks. I just started watching this show last week. Does anyone ever die in this show? It's getting hard to take the villains seriously when there has been 0 notable deaths and I'm on episode 37. Also, does Katsuki ever stop being so 1-dimensional. Does he ever get character development?

A few minor characters die. The most relevant one who does is a character who is introduced in a long arc, plays a decently relevant role on it and dies at the end. No one from the main cast has ever been impacted in a serious way

Meh. That's bad writing then. You should always kill off at least one major character to show that there's consequences in your world. It seems like not even the villains get killed. I just googled "does anyone die in..." and it autocompletes to Boku no Hero so I see that I'm not the only one who is concerned about it.

Why is Hori brutal at all? I caught up with MHA about a month ago. One moment, the story is about hero student shenanigans with some foreshadowing to a greater conflict. The next moment, shit escalates super quickly into an edgy gorefest with bloody deaths left and right.
