It's the only series that prompted me to read the books. I still haven't even cracked open the Witcher books yet. It's still an isekai, but easily one of the best, and hasn't gone off the deep end for power tripping.
It's also the second series I've watched that had the original premise take a back seat to medieval economics and be better for it. Maybe it's just a good subtheme, I dunno.
