Are there honestly any anime out there with writing even remotely close to LOTGH? I think not.

Yeah, there's loads of shows with shit writing
Arslan Senki is by(/adapted from) the same author
There's nothing impressive about the writing in this show.
I don't know about anime but One Piece is better written.
Sangatsu no lion
Any Slice of life anime.
Dies Irae
Naruto
HxH
If they're written in yellow.
good
Youjo Senki is a better military anime than LOTGH
LOGH isn't that well written. It's solid and a great anime but that's not because of incredible writing, you can see a bunch of holes and easy shortcuts taken if you pay even the slightest attention.
berserk is the greatest written anime. Golden arc is unsurpassed
also Steel Ball Run
both of these are better than LOGH which while good is pretty flawed
Can we stop pretending this show is good? I swear half the people who circle jerk it just saw a few screencaps of Yang saying something ""deep"" and proclaim it's the Citizen Kane of anime. Or saw the documentary webm and think it's "based and redpilled" or some stupid shit. Its so boring and unengaging I'd rather watch litterally anything else.
It's pretty good though. The whole setup is interesting and some of its points are quite good. I'll commend it for not going "DEMOCRACY GOOD AUTORITARIANISM BAD", nor the opposite. Worse writers probably would've gone for one or the other.
It's just a little better than just taking a paper and lliterally writing down the pros and cons of both. In terms of suspense or emotions most popular anime easily eclipse it. Not to say it isn't good at all, but just not writing terrible isn't that interesting.
I don't know, I find the ways it implemented that to be interesting at times. It's all about execution after all. Of course, it's not always good and sometimes it gets really too simplistic and rushed, but for the most part I'd say it's done really well.
On the other hand it's not really that engaging, emotionally speaking, which could frustrate some. But I think it does what it sets out to do pretty well.

Did you guys even look at OP's image?
What's wrong with it?
Sangatsu has some great dialogues/monologues. I just wish it had been a novel or a light novel so the anime wouldn't be plagued with manga tropes.
>Can we stop pretending this show is good?
No, because it is good as far as anime goes
Dunno about you but this show really got the better of me when Bewcock died and on many more occasions. I personally thought this show had a shitload of emotive dialogue and storytelling but a lot of people prefer to talk about the overarching story and writing like it's the most genius thing which albeit I do agree that it's very good but far from perfect.
For me some of the best scenes in this show are just Reuenthal and Mittermeyer sitting around drinking tea and shooting the breeze or Poplan, Dusty and Schönkopf bantering with each other. The more I watched these characters the more I just liked them because they had really fun personalities established from the author
im noticing a trend
As a big fan, I’m not even sure if the anime was honestly that good myself. It’s on of those things that’s a lot better in retrospect than it was while actually watching. I remember there were multiple times watching the show that I considered dropping it for good, but when I look back at it I can remember most of the battles/story beats and the characters/their philosophies well. I can think back to any moment fondly and think “ah, typical Oberstein”
>berserk is the greatest written anime. Golden arc is unsurpassed
kek
Lost Children is peak Berserk, though.
The only part that i felt bored was at the battle of the corridor and some parts of gaiden, for the most part i felt the dialogue and pacing were entertaining and fast respectively. In retrospect i get mixed feelings, as i feel some characters were not very well written looking back. I am still really fond of the highs of the show and most major characters tho
Monster
I don't get your point. The source IS a manga.
this is why i liked logh
