VEG: Why do you think it's good/bad?

This anime seems to be really divisive on this board.
It personally didn't grip me, but I want to hear your opinions.

It's objectively the AOTD. Anyone saying otherwise is a nigger.

It's good.

Imagine Violet trying to jack you off with her mechanical hands

Boring mexican soup opera

Holy shit.

>1488
Of course Hitler loves VEG.

I enjoyed it. I like how the short stories were conclusive but at the same time they slowly changed Violet's character from PTSD autismogirl to becoming more and more sensitive and human.

It started good but the war plot stuff was bad and the ending was disastrous. One of Kyoani's worst

>slowly
She went from basically feral-child-tier to somehow being a world-class master of writing and empathy over the course of, what, a couple months?

it was ok

i don't see myself ever watching it again

If you think i'm gonna discuss and try to defend the series with someone who didnt like the show and will never change his mind, you're wrong.
Go find someone as autistic as you to waste his time. I liked it, you didn't. That's it.

Extremely mediocre.

Is this really how it ends?
I dropped it bc she was so autistic I couldn't even believe she was human.

No, the ending basically drops the self-improvement aspect for a shitty war conspiracy. If it had stayed about self-improvement and cutesy writings I would have still enjoyed the show despite its lack of realistic characters.

Based.

It has nice visuals, but that is it. The writing in general is really bad. For instance, it never shows how Violet was able to become a competent ghost writer. The "thank you" minimalist letter worked in a very specific context, but Violet never went trhough a development that explained how she overcame her autism to convey actual emotions in her letters. There were more shit like that, but I can't be bothered to remember.

it takes slimy sentimentality to 11 in the first ep when there's absolutely zero substance behind it.

The war conspiracy -is- the part of her growth. Refusing orders and choosing to die instead of kill literally made her more human than those around her.

I like it, it's very beautiful and touching, but not perfect. Violett's ability to just straight up beat people who are 2x her size doesn't make sense, her age doesn't make sense. And some stories were just boring melodrama about which I didn't give a fuck (mainly talking about princess one). Well and most of the secondary characters were not developed, but I guess that's to be expected and doesnt matter so much since they had so little screen time.

This.
Same reason I dropped Demon Slayer.
How can I care about these characters I just met? Especially when they MC feels so generic?

>t.

I'm talking more about the inanity of the conspirators conveniently setting fires in a line leading right to the train they wanted to hijack and all that shit.

Its pretty episodic, so I think there are good episodes and others that are not so good.

Well, then they fucked up making the first three episodes bad because now I don't wanna watch more of it.

I liked episode 10 and the OVA the most. Anything that involved Bairetto being a scarred killing machine warrior was cringe for me. But episode 10 touches on losing a parent, and the OVA is more about the effects of war on a nation. So I liked them both.

High IQ and obsessive work habits.
But really, consider the fact that her success by episode 5 is mostly built on the foundation laid by Cattleya's fame, not her own, but Cat can't be in two places at once, so, all she had to do was be better than Erica or Iris.
That's not to say Violet herself is not competent by that point, and we see that growth in the Special episode.
Furthermore, in that situation, in the end she just had the sense to have the customers write the letters instead in a more straightforward manner, sort of like Ep3.
From that point on when people talk of her success, they refer to the royal letters, most of which weren't written by her, or Cat for that matter. In some ways she was lucky, but again, that's not to say she isn't competent.
In her field of work, at least. But she worked for that competence.

I don't think it is a bad show, you just make me want to call it bad seeing you say stupid shit like it's a masterpiece m

She didn't work for it at all. The fact that she got the pin at the end of episode three for writing 2 sentences was baffling.
Makes me wonder just how bad everyone else who failed he course must have been.

>Hitlerchad
>Tripschad
Yeah, i'm thinking VEG is based

>She didn't work for it at all.
Then you weren't paying attention at all.
