Who cares? lol
rent free

he would be beloved by the LGBs

the Ts would be jealous and want to die, except they'd be jealous and want to die regardless if they were watching the anime

There's a lot of plots surrounding gender roles so while Japan still wouldn't care, you would get western blogs denouncing its evils.

the fags and snowflakes would shit very hard on it. For all the progressiveness of the mc changing genders, EVERYTHING ELSE is conservative as fuck, from female roles to expectations to most of the comedy, especially when Ranma is being too much of an asshole and taking advantage of his female body, or being a little bit too proud women literally kill each other for him.

You guys are fucking stupid, this is literally all wrong
Genderfluid people exist and they would fucking love this show and they do love this show

You guys are so fucking dumb, you pretend to know shit but you are dumb faggots who know nothing in the end

> i didnt read anything Ranma past "he changes genders with hot water"
>why yes, i use twitter a lot, but what does that have anything to do with the topic?

I watched all of Ranma over 8 times, fuck off people would love this show if it was released today

I watch it every saturday on national TV, then immediately watch Gumball in order to hear the same dub actress with a 25yo gap; such a great nostalgia injection. First time I am glad I dont share TV content with 'mutts, hell even CN is better.

Trannies would ruin it by day one. They're trying to retroactively ruin it now but thankfully no one's paying any real attention to their headcanon bullshit.

there are just some things in this world that aren't made for modern times

Ranma isn't good material for anyone trans. Ranma hates changing to a girl and it's played as a joke. There are countless better gender bender manga (nearly every single one) even that still aren't great for trans. Ranma 1/2 is a bit older so a lot of the plots had gender roles injected in. Progressive west would think it's bigoted. Seriously, rewatch some of it, I'm sure there won't be many episodes before gender roles are mentioned.

>beloved
>when the guy hates transforming into a woman
Even Akane called him a freak and a monstruosity.

Genderbending going from a fetish to a mental disorder to a political moment is one of the greatest tragedies of our time.

They already praise it so nothing.

Not very well at all, it's the story of a guy who marries a girl because their parents want them to. It's the story about the guy who, despite being given the power to become a girl, something every SJW drools over ( I say drool because I don't want to imagine the disgusting mutilated pile of flesh that's between their legs ), tries everything in his power to stay a boy most of the time. Not to mention it's not something to be taken seriously, back when Ranma was written people couldn't believe someone would actually want to be another sex, hell most people in real life still try their best to ignore them, I live in Montreal, a city infested by them and even then there's only one at my uni and he only appeared once, they're overrepresented on the internet because it's the place they have the most power.

would they like hibari-kun?

It going from a joke to a fetish was the begginning of downfall.

>Japan
Your normal "who's best girl?" discussion
>Zig Forums
Same as Japan plus "would it be gay if X" (probably being the same for Japan too, through dick unity)
>rest of the west
Who the fuck even gives a fuck about them? Irrelevant.

Even when it was a joke it was already a fetish. Because everything is somebodies fetish.

Being a fetish is not the problem, but defining yourself around a fetish is.

>a straight man who had a course and the only he could to is take the best out of it. When he transformed, he had a full functional femaly body.

Ranma wasn't LGBT. Only boomers believe that. I'm not into politics but saying Ranma is LGBT is retarded.

Honestly, the thought of a new anime adaptation is intriguing. It'd really depend on the studio involved and how much leeway they got to change things. Assuming "minor tweaks"...

>Akane
Probably a bit more capable of being a fighter. Not Ranma-tier, but something to justify her being the "martial arts" choice of bride.

>Nabiki
Her they'd definitely update, if only because of Abenomics and related social issues.

>Chinese Amazons
They might be the biggest roadblock to a new adaptation. Potentially pissing off Chinese investors with schlocky characters could scare any one of the half dozen companies that get involved with anime production committees.

Genderfluidity isn't being trans you are dumb

Ranma isn't genderfluid by their definition. He'd take offense to being called a she. Being able to change sexes with water would be a literal definition of genderfluid though.

I don't think he'd care if you called him a girl if he was in girl form. He actually seems to take a weird sort of pride in how hot is girl form is.
If you called him FEMININE though he would probably punch you in the face, and then maybe the dick, while shouting "How's that for feminine?" or something similar.

Who was the best tomboy?
Akane or Ukio?

reading hourou musuko atm. To all of the tr/a/ns, is it a realistic depiction of trans coming-of-age?

Neither.
Aside from practicing martial arts, which almost everyone in the series does, and Ukyo's habit of wearing masculine clothes, there is nothing tomboyish about them. People call Akane a tomboy because she's bad at doing feminine things, not because she enjoys doing masculine things, if you pay any attention at all you'll notice she actually loves doing feminine things like dressing up and cooking, she is just absolutely terrible at all of it. Ukyo meanwhile, wears boyish clothes, but there is nothing else boyish about her.

ranma teached me that females are weaker than males but females can get free ice cream
