Ueki no Housoku

Does anybody else remember this show? I watched it years ago but barely remember what happens. I think one guy had a bubble attack

looks cool

>bubble attack
That's the guy in the back Robert Hyden I believe(who is the villain of the 1st half). He can convert ideas to reality but using it eats at his lifespan.

guy who made fairy tail and rave master?

check out his newest manga

It has some high points but it's overall mediocre. A huge chunk of it is Ueki getting beat up and spouting stuff about friendship until he figures out a legitimate tactic to beat his current opponent.

Only read the manga and it was ok. Glasses girl was the best girl.

No that was just a really popular art style at the time, was even more common in manga.

I've never seen/read it, but it has a bitching OP

Good shit, never seen someone else talk about it.

main guy could make trees from trash
antag could make bubbles that defied gravity or something the was different types
the red haired girl could turn beeds into bombs and the was a bunch of other stuff

one of the few shounen where the girls are not retarded bomb girl had some good fights and the fights in general were pretty good like that time travel girl fight

Bump

was there a guy that could turn towel into metal

Yes, he could also give them polarity later

Still can't believe that Sano and Rinko didn't hook up

It was decent.
Was also enjoying the sequel where he got isekai'd but then it got axed

It was good.

Oh shit I might have to look that up.

A mop as a weapon was great. Indeed, it was a shame.

This was an alright battle shounen, I wouldn't mind a better adaptation though

it was fun though I only watched it on TV sporadically because its time slots were in school hours

The battle with the kid that accidentally crippled his mom was kinda fucked up though. Seeing him lose stung a bit.

I miss Ueki

I read it years ago and thought it was mediocre, but for some reason, one minor detail that's always stuck with me is how in the glasses girl's first fight, she was so exhausted by the end that she looked like she was about to cry even though she won at the last minute.

I still listen to the OP&EDs.

One of my favorite kids battle shounen alongside Gash Bell.

The powers were really fun.
Rival character could turn towels into metal.
Main heroine (?) later got the power to turn somebody into a glasses lover.

Absolutely love the ED. Was very sweet. I think the title was planet something I forgot

>Main heroine (?) later got the power to turn somebody into a glasses lover.
BIAAAANCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

greta manga

At first I thought you misspelled "great".

I remember thinking it was really funny how every single character had to announce their power every time they used it in the manga.
>THE POWER TO TURN TOMATOES INTO MAGMA
>THE POWER TO TURN TOWELS INTO METAL
>THE POWER TO TURN BEADS INTO BOMBS

Haydn did nothing wrong.

Still one of the best 'power user' anime simply for the fact that the simple 'turning trash into trees' power has a hidden OP things that everyone overlooked compared to, say, 'turning towels into metal', 'turning beads into bombs', 'turning ideals into reality'. He can use the leaf and branch from his trees and turn it into more trees as it is recognized as trash. Other powers cannot do this and my twelve years old mind was 'holy damn that's awesome'

>'turning ideals into reality'
>loses
This always bothered me, did he run out of years to spend or something?

The MC turns out to be a special snowflake heavenly race that had 10 sacred weapons.
