Stands are the most interesting power system. Everything else is punching and yelling to get stronger.

Alchemy is intelligent too.

Chainsaw Man power system is pretty simple yet cool, basically just make contract with devils and get to use their power and it depends on the contracts and the devils

alchemy is awesome
i dont know too much about stands yet im watching phantom blood
nen is outstanding i came up with a couple of hatsus just about anyone can come up with an ability

nen

Alchemy is probably in the best sweet spot of being developed enough to be interesting and not too complex to turn the manga into expositionfest

Stands are a neat idea (bizarre punch ghosts with an absurdly narrow ability), but Araki is a hack and doesn't know how to right an actual battle of wits, and this makes them lackluster. The fact that what Stand a character has is just a lotto with no real ability to personalize or improve it (beyond being more clever with it, which Araki is awful at righting) means it only appeals to the kind of dipshit who thinks superheroes are awesome and thinks HxH is too hard to follow.

that kind of system sounds cool

hxh power system is amazing ppl shit on it soo much maybe its because of the hiatus

Best: Alchemy
Worst: Stands

Scince > whatever pseudobullshit

For me? It's wizards shooting bigass spells at each other.

Devil fruits> everything. Stands are just poor man's devil fruits

>Stands are just poor man's devil fruits
Retard.

It's always the little details in world building that makes me fall in love with a world. A trinket or machine that I wouldn't think to put there, but it makes so much sense in the given world that it has a purpose

Something that always gets me is when characters reference things that aren't immediately explained. Like, someone mentions a far off country and that's it. No one says where it is, who lives there, nothing. Just whatever's relevant to the conversation.

nen is the bottom of world building, it is just glorified... nothing... imagine looking at the endless possibility of fantasy, elemental and alchemical systems, variety of powers and thinking it's nen

Nen does a better job of reflecting a person than most power systems, the fuck are you on about

is that a good or bad thing??

Good thing.

Here is some REAL power level

Feel free to hate on fateshit all you want, Type-Moon's worldbuilding is genuinely first-class, maybe thanks to Nasu's chuu2 autism. Despite most of it's execution being inconsistent, you somehow have a world with infinite stories to tell thanks to being able to have any premise under the sun work. It's well-defined enough to work with an established set of rules, but vague enough that asspulls and contradictions to the previously established rules aren't as far out of left field.

moar like what are you on about, I've never seen something this overhyped. it's literally nothing and gets praised as "the best system ever made" and now "reflects the soul of a person"

Maybe that's more a reflection of you and your bias/ignorance or just stupidity.

>world building
meme that plague story telling genre
i blame DnD for this

Based. I have a soft spot for nasu's autism.

maybe that was not your intention but your post seems a bit contradictory
if everything can happen with infinite asspulls, there is not much well-defined wordbuilding is there

he is more bullshit then anyone poster

You got me there. Nasu (and every writer that tackles TM stuff) falls into the pitfall that is
>establish rule early in the story
>break rule for the climax
But that's relegated to stories, and they're usually only one for each of them. The way the Nasuverse operates with magecraft system, the Clock Tower, the DAA's and all that are all so well-defined, you can't help but wonder how they were just made up from two college friends' DnD meetings

im not hating i just want your opinions on what anime doesnt get right

t. faggot

Well if I had to say what I dislike about TM, it's the fact that there are too many cooks that spill the broth. It wasn't noticeable early on since only Nasu used to write stuff, but the more writers they've put on the team, the more the story gets diluted desu. People like Higashide and Sakurai aren't bad writers by any stretch of the imagination, but their Fate/Stuff are usually mediocre, even with a few moments of brilliance here and there
