The first OVA is just a nice SoL story so if you enjoyed the characters then yes. The second season focuses on Emilias backstory and it tries very hard to make you feel bad for her it also shows how she got her contract with puck so I guess it's kinda important.

Memory Snow is a fun episode that takes place between episodes 11 and 12, its pretty much all comedy. Frozen Bonds you should watch if you like Emilia and Puck, if not then don't bother

Anime-only opinion. Both are worth a watch. Memory Snow is one of the better episode of the season simply because we get more Ram and Beako. After watching frozen bonds, Emilias actions and motivations in season 1 made a little more sense and I'd say even if you don't like the character the OVA adds to the story. Season 2 may do all of that anyway though.

The first trial is nice. What was the second one? Was it with him finding out that there is a possibility of whenever he dies he creates a new universe leaving the old one behind? I read it like 4 years ago so I I don't remember it clearly.

You mean the part with him and Emilia next to Rem? I only read the web novel so I don't know but doesn't that scene take place at the mansion?

That's added in the LN and is shown in the anime. It takes place at Crusch's mansion. The trailer shows that they have apparently moved all the bodies to Crusch's mansion and just dumped Rem on the ground. Subaru runs up to her and starts shaking her.
In both the WN and LN it jumps to Crusch's mansion and Rem has already been placed on a bed and changed into a nightgown and Subaru just knifes himself instantly, so clearly how they're doing this in the anime is different from both the LN and WN.
There's a broken sword next to Rem so it's possible he could still kill himself with that, but now there's way more witnesses to him doing that and the setting would be different.
Alternately he stews on it and then kills himself in the same setting as before, but that weakens his reaction to it compared to the LN/WN where he pretty much walks into the room, sees Rem, and nopes the fuck out of the universe.

Yeah, he always stops at the second, it's part of why Emilia has to do it. Normally the second trial isn't that big of a deal, but for Subaru it's the nightmare trial. If he could pass the second, the third trial is just future visions and I don't think it's really all that possible to fail because you'd just be like 'well okay then'

To show how he found her and then cut off to the part where they explain at the capital the whole essence being eaten thing. And the jump to the suicide scene. In the LN does he neck himself with the blade before Emilia walks in?
