Does anyone else love how much carnage this thing is causing? Collateral damage in battle manga rarely, if ever, happens and even when it does, it's acknowledge for maybe a single page and it's never more than a handful of unlucky people. This is all in spite of the fact that these series usually involve demi gods moving around at the speed of lightning and nuking mountains. Just look at a faggot like Aizen who had the power to vaporize anything within a million mile radius and what does he do? He kills ONE civilian. Just one. And this is after walking around for half a day completely uninterrupted. Meanwhile, the gun devil in less than a second has taken hundreds of thousands of lives. The lives of men, women, children, and even animals, all faster than a person can blink. A walking natural disaster. This is how powerful antagonists should be portrayed.
Battle manga and collateral damage
you don't need an omnipotent being to showcase this
Hope we get a Terrorism Devil
I kinda doubt that people fear terrorism in a setting where literal magical devils exist and countries wage war through making pacts with said devils as their superweapons.
At most, I would expect a nuclear bomb devil to exist, as during the cold war, the threat of mutual nuclear annihilation was what prevented the cold war from going to a hot war between the involved superpowers themselves, and is still what drives the greater powers of nowadays to just make proxy wars.
There's a sword devil, a sword. You don't think people fear terrorism?
Why is Fujimoto such a terrible character designer?
There is a fucking grape devil
>Fujimoto can't even be bothered to actually introduce characters before killing them now
sasuga
Do you consider every tree or animal you see in a setting to be a character?
Yeah. Gun D is pretty rad.
so when are we getting the devil devil
Yes, because that's good writing.
Why are you such a cunt?
You won't. They get a biff the more people are scared of them, there is no devil devil.
His art is shit
To be totally fair, they weren't sure if they should call it the Grape Devil. It goes to show that a good number of Devil titles are based on interpretation.
A terrorist attack involving guns was the cause of the first apparition of the Gun Devil.
>the villain kills civilians
>wow I fucking love it, so rare
So is this series just being concertedly falseflagged or is the fanbase full of pretentious fourteen-year-olds? Because I swear I see a new thread praising it for doing some totally common thing every day or two.
idk, most CSM nigs seem to have read fire punch and fire punch has genocide-tier collateral damage as a central plot point so I think most CSM fans would just use fire punch for their example
It's rarely contextualized in this way that simultaneously shows both the scale and the individual cost. Personally I'm not going "Whoa Gun Devil killing people so badass," but these chapters have been very well done. Besides which, the Gun Devil isn't even really the villian. It's more of a WMD than anything else.
this series is before 9/11.
I can't believe Golden Kamuy's author is fucking dead
My dad's best friend was killed by terrorists in 1979.
Also the Holyland author.
Just like every popular series, there aren't that many actual Zig Forums posters, 80% are tourists and newfags
But if you get past the fact that most people who like it are fucking stupid and the threads are filled with them, the manga on its own is pretty good
>It goes to show that a good number of Devil titles are based on interpretation.
Imagine if this was foreshadowing Pochita being the death devil
Thats what the gun devil is
>This is how powerful antagonists should be portrayed
By telling instead of showing? We barely get to see the casualties, and what we did see isn't that much more gruesome than what other devils have done.
Is that what Nixon told you?
>By telling instead of showing?
'Telling' would be some random talking about how much death the GD is causing. This is just showing us the names of every person killed.
