Only literal faggot drama queens call it sniping, since it implies someone was aiming at them instead of.just wanting others to read a chapter that's been out FOREVER
who gives a shit, i got my fix a few days earlier, i call it a win
Imagine being a translator and redrawer that has done all the work since weeks ago, but your faggot typesetter keep procrastinatinating because he needs to put 100 different fonts in every page, and then get your project sniped because of that
> typesetter
What, seriously?
Which work was it?
Isekai ojiisan
Fuck scanlation drama, and the EOPs that pretend to understand it.
So, what are you working on anons? Is it comissioned porn?
Isekai Ojisan
Faggot scanlators are trying to damage control on another thread
>100 different fonts in every page
Fucking hate tryhards like this, especially when the Japanese typesetting consists of:
>normal font
>normal font but bold
>cutesy font
>yell font
>shaky font
>literal handwriting
Like for fuck's sake, nobody gives a shit how many font packs you have in your folder.
> Make group for scanlation
> Recruit dramawhores and fragile trannies
> Neglect said group
> Group goes down in flames after one SEAfaggot snipes ONCE
Time to go back solo or rebuild from scratch Kinji.
There should be no reason to use more than 4 or 5 fonts in the average volume, and 97% should be just one font.
No, really, we should keep any scanlation shitflinging mention off the OP for these threads.
I just want comfy scanlation discussions and to mock my readers.

Yes. It exposed them as fragile scanlators that they are. Imagine dropping a series just because 1 (ONE) chapter.
>no one ever sniped a manga with a clear and consistent release schedule
No-one?
Lurk most newfaggot
>So you weren't doing it to have widely available high quality scanlations of a work you like and want others to enjoy
No??? Why the fuck would I? I'm not their fucking nanny. I read it and gained enjoyment and that's enough for me. Deciding to translate would mean putting a lot of efforts weekly instead of reading more stuff.
Assuming I ever scanlate something, it'd be so people appreciate my efforts and in the process the work reaches more people. It's both of the reasons. Nobody is a saint doing work completely out of passion and nobody is starved for attention so much as to work hard on scanlations to get it. I mean, all I need to do is say I watch dubs and I'll be drowning in (You)s already
>Have you even tried to negotiate with the SEAfag instead of taking it like a bitch?
I'm not the scanlator but only a retard would bother "negotiating" with a Zig Forums troll. My point is the sniper should be shitted on and not defended.
>Look at these dudes. "mass releasing" my ass. You spent yourself making cringe credit pages and taking your sweet time making another group name just to toy with readers. Yeah no, even I could make PSD files to the 100th chapter and screenshot them if I want to.
>I still appreciate these guys since they have better RAWs they got from das, but all these cringefest made me had to do this. You guys who don't read the raws don't know how much they modify the translations to fit thair headcanon, especially in the 13th chapter. Unlike you retards who spend forever to finish a page because you need to make the typesetting fancier than the raw, I could actually finish a chapter within a day. So let me tell this: If these guys don't release the 21st chapter within a week, then I'm gonna put mine on the 7th or 8th day, and without any cringe credit pages.
He's pretty based. Imagine a group of 4-5 scanlators can't even beat a solo scanlator. Even had the courtesy give them a warning and time for release.
Anyone got the latest Jump SQ?
>4-5 scanlators can't even beat a solo scanlator
The more people you have the longer it takes newfriend.
>muhhhhhhh attention
You faggots are fucking stupid and should be ashamed to defend snipers, who are nothing more than attention seeking faggots that disrupt the flow of the manga's release and are often low quality. If someone wants appreciation for a work they worked hard on, I see no problem.
>bu-but if they're doing it for hobby!
If they were doing it as hobby, they wouldn't release it or at least not keep a weekly schedule. They're doing it as an altruist project so something gets translated and they get appreciation or even monetary gains for their input. Nothing in this world is for free. There is nothing wrong with that so drop this pretentious attitude
Besides, nobody likes working hard on a chapter just so they can release a slightly better version of a chapter. Of course they are gonna drop it. This mentality that encourages speedlations over quality is brainlet tier. If you think snipers aren't doing anything wrong, then you have no right to complaint about low quality or slow scans, since it's their hobby after all and have no obligation to maintain speed or quality.
>b-but they don't own it
Nobody said they did. Sniping is still an asshat move. It demotivates the scanlators from doing the project and they drop it. Snipers don't get attention anymore and are too lazy to keep up with weekly releases so they drop it as well. At the end I suffer so I'll call that sniper a fucking retard and support the scanlators giving me stuff for free.
To put it simply, it's not that snipers don't have a right to translate the work, rather the way things were working lets us enjoy hq pirated content and snipers are asshats just disrupting the flow. Therefore it's best to shit on them and tell them to fuck off.
A well-oiled team should be able to outperform a solo scanlator by far. A week time is more than enough for 1 chapter.
You seem mad. Channel that into a peaceful productive endeavor. Like dying.
>he posted it again
How does someone else releasing disturb your workflow? Are you that desperate for views?
>Imagine a group of 4-5 scanlators can't even beat a solo scanlator.
Why do you think they weren't releasing it? It's likely that one of their members was stuck with something so the rest finished their job and we're waiting for him.
Besides, like said more people=more time but it also means releases are stable and nobody gets overburdened
And somehow that means you should throw away the whole team effort because of it? Here
Why are hentai typesetters few tiers above the usual manga typrseers?
They get paid.
>you're mad for saying things like it is!
Just stop with this cringy moralfagging you guys do when it comes to scanlation. Scanlators are normal humans, not tibetan monks seeking nirvana
that , and handwriting shit becomes a lot less appealing if you're dealing with a 400 page volume instead of a 20 page doujin
>copy pasted post
lmao
Take more hormones tranny
The most well-oiled scanlator teams are so well-oiled that they're greasy. 2-man teams or don't bother.
Because the thread was dying and anons were giving retarded responses.
Are you acting obtuse on purpose? It's not just views tho they're a factor. It simply feels like a waste of effort to work hard on something only so you could release "a more polished" version.
He's right though. See Zig Forums's takeover for toubun and iruma.
Fucking kill yourself you tranny obsessed schizo
I charge for it.
No, it won't
It takes a lot less time for each person, but something that would take, say, 12 hours, takes 18 now just because of having to wait for someone to finish it.
And besides, it's sustainable because otherwise you are scanlatting all day and end up burning out, this is a hobby newfriend, no one gets rich doing this shit, not even for paid comissioned porn.
I hope this has been educational for you.
if snipers just drop the project eventually just grow some thick skin and play the long game, ignore him and pretend nothing happened instead of being a fucking pussy
There's simply alternatives of doing it instead of dropping it like a baby and whining on credit pages. Striptease NEVER negotiated with that faggot and just took it like a bitch.
Well to be fair their group was already imploding, see the Awkward Scans splinter off.
Hey. QC-kun is so important that she can hold up a release for weeks. Without them there might be an awkwardly phrased translators note in the margins ruining the enjoyment of our $1 a month patrons.
