Why mangas that get awards are never translated?

Western manga readers have awful taste. Look at what tops mangadex or r/manga. All generic isekai and romcoms.

Because you didn't took the initiative.

Probably licensed.

No.

Of the ocean of manga Translated, only 450 are tagged award winning on Mangadex. Wtf!

99% of scanlataors do it for the E peen and only isekai and rom coms get a lot of views.

example? award winning, that shit must be really good

bunch of tranny groups are translating kaguya though.

Probably because award-winning manga are gay. Honestly, I would guess award-winning stuff in Japan is actually the least original and probably doing stuff you had in the West decades earlier whereas their mainstream stuff has always been superior to the terrible stuff in the West. Now if you wanted old underground manga, that I could understand but modern award-winning shit seems a waste of time. You can't really know what deserved awards and what didn't without historical perspective. For every award won in the past century by people who became very important or influential, there are many awards won by people who never amounted to anything and have been forgotten and total classics that didn't get any awards.

Literally OP's pic related.

>mangas

JAPANIMATION!

These were in the same award contest. Iirc they respectively won some particular award.

Also loan shark ushijima also won something in the same award lineup.

Have you seen the shit that gets translated?
Saying that they are scraping the bottom of the barrel would be really overestimating most translators taste.

The Fable is fucking fantastic, and getting translated at a decent clip

I was confused but perhaps you are american and then I remembered the Eisner awards. Kek.

spbp

Because translating them requires actual knowledge of Japanese and not just feeding the text through google translate and picking out common words like "adventurer" or "s-rank" or "demon king"

because they're more /lit/ than Zig Forums so regular manga fans don't give a fuck about them

Why do ESL chimpanzees make threads? You can’t even grasp basic sentence structure, but you think you have the right to shit up an English website? What’s going on in your tiny, rotten, third world brain?

>ESL
you give murriburgers too much credit, on average their English is just as bad as third-worlders
