No, for me it's very organic, satisfying and goes along with the overall tone of the story. Honestly, it's better to embrace the sweetness of nonexistence (even if it's in mind) than endless suffering of an immortal shell encompassing a decaying mind. And this end was inevitable, I suppose. Whatever path would have been chosen the Earth would be destroyed regardless.

Yeah, CSM is much brighter if you ask me. At least there are functioning countries and no immediate threat of extinction to the human race.

FP is definitely much bleaker than CSM.
I can actually imagine (and hope for) a happy ending for Denji.

Superficially: yes. Le funny uneasy guy face. But actually: no. I don''t know how to better phrase it cause I've never really gave it a thought, but here is mishmash that's going thorough my head.

Wo**k is used to express various feelings in different forms (anger, happiness, regret etc.) and it got completed with different versions of this meme over time. This is impossible with Agni, as there is context to this face which limits it only to suffering no matter the form. In other words it cannot be modified, agniface expresses a multitude of different feelings in one unchanging facial expression. Mainly pain, shame, anguish and regret but never happiness, anger or feelings on the other side of the spectrum.

As I've said wo''''k is shallow as it is a standalone meme, an empty template that originally was made to show some guy with an an uneasy expression, while agniface is a part of bigger work and context thus carries at least a bit of meaning behind it. A face of a broken suffering man that decides to live on even if existence is hell which fits with a lot of manga/anime characters and is APPLIED to them to enhance the meaning with it's own context actually: Kaneki, Guts, Kariya, Homura, Subaru. So agniface is applied to a different contexts and characters to enhance/modify them while different contexts and characters are applied to wo''''k to enhance/modify it. You can't separate Agni from agniface as you can'r separate FP from it. It's a haunted face.The face you see while having a stroke
