I've always been curious about it, which is better, the anime or the manga? And most important, is it KINO?
Saint Seiya

Saint Seiya is shounenkino
Anime
The manga has a better story but the art is shit while the anime has some shit filler but the music and designs are top tier. I'd read the manga and then watch the sanctuary arc in the anime.
So I just read the manga in full then check out the anime? I heard Seiya has a really good filler arc and it looks beautiful.
Honestly they kind of complement each other. Both are fine by itself but you will lose some details if you only get in one or the other. The manga is way more direct, battle after battle, while the anime has some slice of life cooldown moments. There are also lots of changes. Anime is worth it for the animation, voices and specially the OST.
>Seiya has a really good filler arc
Debatable. The are lots of new characters, some are weird, some are fine. And there's a whole arc, Asgard, that most people seem to like it since it has cool character designs but in reality it's story is dragged down too much and made the next one, Poseidon, who is great in the manga, suffer for it by having to be rushed since the anime was cancelled.
Manga and Anime have different strengths, but in a sense it was definitely the anime that made the Saint Seiya name into a certified shounen classic internationaly, also it has a godly soundtrack.
There's some filler before the sanctuary arc that's kind of bad, the filler between sanctuary and poseidon is great though.
>I've always been curious about it, which is better, the anime or the manga? And most important, is it KINO?
the netflix reboot is kino
The Poseidon ending on the manga was kino. Too bad it was never adapted
I've only watched the original anime. It's really good. Shiryu has some kino scenes. The music and the art are perfect. The fillers are fine. I haven't read the manga yet since I heard Viz censored some stuff and changed some of the names and I couldn't find a readable fan scanlation.
I remember it was story timed on Zig Forums, should be on the archives
It's kino only if you're an underage Mexican or Italian.
Seiyabros, where can I read it in full? Mangadex doesn't have it.
samurai troopers aka ronin warriors is better than this garbage
>Burgers coping this hard because they'll never understand manlyness and heroism without any hint of irony

>Those ratings taking a nosedive right after Sanctuary Arc's finale
They were recovering during Poseidon but the show was already cancelled at the end of Asgard. There were tough times, the bubble burst and everything was getting cancelled. Pic related
Saint Seiya was carried by Araki's design and the fact that Toei wanted to sell them armors to get them bucks.
The plot ranges from half-decent to aboslute shit and the characters basically have 0 deep.
Literally the personality that everyone gives the to the Gold Saints (Camus being a tsundere, Milo being a smug bitch, etc) comes from Episode G the only good spin-off because the characters get to actually interact and have a personality and do things.
I can't even call it a product of it's time because Gundam Zeta and HnK premiered around the same time and they have some great characters
>characters have zero depth
>episode G
>good
Okada eventually starts to improve, also funny that you decided to speak about artstyle as if the only time Kurumada's art looks GOOD isn't by the end of Poseidon until the mid of the Hades saga.
Not true, Kuromada is great at drawing the animals in the background during attacks. He is also good at drawing armors. That is about it though.
The OST is the thing of legends. Amazingly good.
Assasins is unironically good. It helps that Shura makes a much better main character than Aioria
Should I check out Lost Canvas?
Curiously, the anime is better than the original work.
>is it KINO
N-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
GO BACK TO Zig ForumsEDDIT YOU CAN’T SAY THAT NOOOO
>Tfw cute fish died
F
The anime is kino.
>Do it for him
If you want to check it, shouldn't take you more than a week to read the entire manga.
You can also try the anime, although the overall animation and character design feel a bit stiff when compared to the manga. Also, the anime stops halfway through the story courtesy of poor sales, so you won't get the full experience.
It wasn't poor sales, TOEI actually step down to stop a third season from happening because they wanted to go all in with Soul of Gold.
