Didn't like it that much,never
It's better than 97% of LNs out there though.
Not saying much
Most LN are garbage though, it's not really a hard standard to beat.
I think the first 4 novels are excellent but the last 2 are trash
But those garbage LNs get anime adaptions. Like Isekai #7323
Never, the author took way too much time to release each volumes, sometimes 2 years break.
If I remember correctly, the last volumes had Miki (the Index editor) editing it, it also only sold 500 volumes or so.
The author tried to do another LN, then just stopped writing to do something else in life.
Things don't get adapted based on if they're good or not
That's true user.
Damn 500 volumes sold is just sad
Decent or maybe good. Not great though.
Story jumps too much between arcs and characters feel flat overall
Anime is never ever.
I liked the last volumes but I'm always seeking more series with twisted relationships, so I'm a bit biased.
Bakemonogatari and Gekkou are better, but it's still ok. Not great literature by any stretch of the imagination, but decent for a bit of fun reading.
This novel is only popular thanks to Baka-Tsuki, no one cared in japan
Is there official english translation for gekkou?
I found the first and last the best, only the second one was a bit iffy. I also found it interesting how the third volume had a monokuma-type character before danganronpa came out.
I'm on volume 3, it's written like shit as most LNs are, but the plot is kinda nice, I liked the games and all, the characters though, some are good, but others are cliche as fuck. Maria and Hoshino's romance is also very weak, some scenes made me cringe like the ceremony at the end of volume 1, the villain is good.
Overrall it's kinda meh, but I'll keep reading for the plot.
Yes: baka-tsuki.org
I read the original jap though.
>I read the original jap though.
Heh, you're not tricking anyone, imbecile.
The first one was really good and it peaked around the 3rd and 4th Volume, the whole game they were playign was relly tense and fun. After that it kind of becamse a chunni mess.
Why the fuck would I lie about that, smoothbrain?
>It's written like shit as most LNs are.
I can't think of any LN that actually has decent prose.
First off, japanese speaker wouldn't be shitposting on Zig Forums
Second off, they wouldn't enter a thread and boast about their knowledge just to show off to other people who didn't even ask them anything
You're probably an english only peasant trying to show off
Re zero is better than average, but it's still below 'good'.
I should probably clarify what I meant then. I said it because I can't guarantee the quality of the English translation (*because* I haven't read it in English). But sure, assume whatever you want.
Is that gekkou thing any good?
KEK,absolutely btfo
The ideas in the LNs were interesting but the execution was just god awful for some volumes.
Who hurts you?
Why are you so mad that someone else can read in Japanese?
The original post didn't even have a bragging voice. You just feel mad for no reason.
It's pretty good. One of the few LNs that I enjoy reading. The prose is, of course, not that great, but the story and the characters themselves are fun, especially the MC and the "heroine". MC is somewhat of a sociopath who "enjoys observing people", while the crux of the entire book is whether Tsukimori (the heroine) killed her own father or not.
I feel like he had a vague idea of what to do but rushed through it as if he was tired of the story and just wanted to be done with it.
Could a proper anime save it?
unfortunately, it will never ever get an anime
mikage eiji doesnt even write LNs anymore, sadly
