I've never read the manga but generally enjoyed the adaptation. Manga readers care to comment? Was the adaptation that different from the source?

Just watch kuroko's basket.
Based mangaka. They shouldn't suck it up and be ''grateful'' for an adaption if it's shit.
Wow, must be pretty awful if it managed to bypass Japanese politeness.
>Manga readers care to comment?
They pretty much tried to make it into Kuroko no Basuke lite. It was awful. Read the threads from when the anime was airing in the archives, you'll see mangafags seething.

Was it just that one scene with the orange kid having zone eyes or is it the series as a whole being adapted to more closely resemble kuroko?
This kills the mangaka.
Is this a case of the author and the manga fans wanting a slam dunk adaptation but instead they got kuroko? Is the plot deviating from the manga or is this just about the animation styles?
It seems like he's very pissy about changes and them going full Kuroko no Basuke with zone eyes last episode was the final straw for him. Probably unhappy about the mediocre animation too.
You can tell he's right because no one on Zig Forums talks about it
kek i feel bad for the guy now
>not supervising the anime adaptation
classic mistake
it's because anime today suck.
do the mangaka even get a sneak peak to their adaptations?
i heard that some of them can have some input? while others just leave everything to the companies
The whole plot was changed for the adaptation. Pivotal scenes (like the rap battle, or the class president election mini-arc) were removed entirely for time. It was just all around bad.
I've heard of mangakas and authors sitting in on voice recordings but not much else.
>Pivotal scenes (like the rap battle, or the class president election mini-arc) were removed
Were they that important to the context of the overall story?
>getting mad your manlet self-fellation manga didn't get the boost you wanted
Mangaka is normalfag-tier softie. He should just retire.
Oh no! Not the integrity of my shitty fujobait sports series!
Nips are gonna lose their shit
>Not being grateful for their hard work, How dare you(kisama)
>Shame, you(kisama) have brought it to yourself

The replies to his tweet are only supportive actually. Seems like a lot of them agree that the anime is subpar
Interesting. I feel like it's already a fairly slow series. If you're telling me there's even less basketball in the manga, it must be barely a sports manga, not that it's a bad thing. I have the most fun with this show when they aren't playing basketball. My only major complaint as an anime-only is that the animation is completely trash.
That's good then, I expected him to get dragged online but looks like the anime is bad enough to serve as everyone's enemy.
Fruits Basket 2001 anime was okay but DEEN fucked a lot of things pretty badly and the author hated it, nowadays she's supervising the mistake which is adapting the entire story.
only the big one like Oda or Togashi
is he gonna get blacklisted?
wew he is right in calling the animators out.
Just out of curiosity, if they do a remake of slam dunk right now, what are the chances of them pulling shit like kuroko no basket?
It’s strange how some authors seem to contribute a lot to adaptions of their works and then some seem to be completely distanced from them.
