Kite is the best film out of all those.
I really don't get why people liked EoE so much
redline or nausica
People were blueballed hard by the anime ending so they were desperate for something better, which EoE delivered.
I thought the ending was fine on my rewatch.
Perfect Blue

End of Eva is just something that has a lot to offer. Conclusion for the characters you've been invested in, Asuka fight scene and the third impact imagery are some of the main factors, but Anno put a lot more into the second half with the experimentation, using the Brakhagesque collages, live action, and self referencing which you just don't get in any other anime film. Little unique things, like the montage before the choking scene where it takes short flashback dialogue and cuts it together with new dialogue to show the stream of consciousness of Shinji within Lilith. I get if parts of the story or philosophy push people away from it but for those who enjoy it, the movie always has more to take away.
