HE FUCKING WON
He should have ended up with mai A
He probably did, but the epilogue we got didn't really show much of the world after the series, just their graduation.
>Joey uses luck to win all his duels
>Gets unlucky just when he’s going to beat the season villain
Kek. I get it.
I don't, fuck Kazuki HACKakashi
Odion should of beat Joey, what's your point.
I can't win with this card, it has to be GOD!
That reminds me of how Mai beat Yugi 2 times during their DK duel. First he bluffed by placing a spell card and she didn't attack thinking it was a trap, and secondly she didn't summon another Harpie Lady which would have made her Dragon stronger than Black Luster Soldier (though he could have just attacked the lady? Though I think he was forced to go for the dragon)

In universe it's easy to suspend disbelief, at least subbed. It starts with it being treated as
a mere card game just like our world, with people going to tourneys for cash and stuff.
Then it's revealed the creator of the card game kinda fucked up by deciding to base it on ancient Egyptian stones that had real monsters sealed in them, so the playing cards can in fact channel those spirits and Gods they're based on and things get spooky. At least in real life it'd be like finding out the ouija is real or something, it raises the stakes.
>side character underdog beats the main villain by the skin of his teeth
This would've been so fucking amazing. Then going for the VR arc would've felt less jarring.
It really wouldn't even have changed the plot, and him being blonde would surely pair well with using Ra. Even if the main villain lost there, they were in a tournament to get all God cards so as long as Yugi got to beat Kaiba / The owner of Ra the plot would have progressed.
Also, Jonouchi could have been the one to kill Yami Marik in that dark game while the real Marik would still be alive and wanting to murder Yugi, so even if his crazier side died, he could still throw a rage fit and challenge Yugi to a dark game right there threatening to finish off Joey (who would still fall unconscious due to damage).
There were many ways to move the story forward but the author was just an asshole
Mai shold have beaten Marik as well, but Pegasus was shit at making cards and made a literally unplayable one to all but 2 people for some reason
Why didn't he just show him the physical card without playing it?
I don't remeber all those other characters
They were very important, how could you
>Joey
cringe
Opening 2 was so damn hype in both visual and music that only keeps delivering catchy notes

I'm still seething this other Yoko Ono tier singer is the one playing over the epic duels in the finals. Seriously the hell is up with thos OOHH OOOOHH OOOOH

Lmao I completely forgot about how the egyptian god cards spited people who "wronged" them. Slifer wrapped around a sky scraper killiing(?) office workers and shutting their computers down was funny as fuck.
>aaaahhhh ooohhhh my holographic injuries...
it was a shadow game though, he took psychological damage every time
i bet you call pokemon by their japanese name
>psychological damage
That shit isn't even real lmao. The people who came up with it are the same people who cry about online bullying.

He felt actual pain, i don't know what the other user is talking about. During the course of the duel he felt what it's like to be electrocuted multiple times, dipped in lava, and burned to a crisp with divine fire.
>Marik plays the whole duel with the intent of torturing him with the shadow game, making some outright disadvantageous plays
>''Wtf why did his strategy pay off?''
Also Odion won.
Reminder Joey also lost to Bakura and was saved due to the millennium RPG experiencing a blackout right as he was about to die.
Yami Marik just has too much of a torture boner to the point it gets in the way of him playing well. Hell his duel against Yami lasted as long as it did partially because he was holding regular Marik hostage. Marik himself isn't that good of a duelist either considering he essentially lost to Yugi twice (Strings and Joey) and one of those times he was even running an Egyptian god card while Yugi had none.
>Yellow hair
>Third protagonist
>Doesn't get the 3rd God card (yellow) in a tournament where he could have faced off against the other 2 protagonists with their appropriately colored God cards
It ticks my autism
He wouldn't have been able to use it for a few reasons stated in the manga/anime. Hell I remember a spinoff game (falsebound kingdom) letting you only unlock Ra during Joey's campaign but he himself couldn't use it so you had to wait until you got back to Yugi or Kaiba's campaign to run it.
