what happened to shadow house translations?

One of my favourite ongoing manga right now, really like the story and characters and I absolutely love the setting.

I haven't read it, but I will now because of this thread. Cheers user.

I read it when it was first getting translated based on my love for Soredemo, enjoyed the first volume but forgot about it since no new translations for a while. I didn't know until this thread it was being translated again, so thanks for that. I was even considering buying the english release of the first volume.

The mysteries are at just the right amount of difficulty that you can make out what's going on. When you're right about something it feels great and even if you're wrong it doesn't feel like it was something that was pulled out of thin air.

I bought the English volume anyway. It feels good having Ishiguro on my shelf. Sucks that the other volumes were delayed because of Corona though.

someone have an alternative explanation for the brain body swap? i feel like the presumptive explanation we've been riding with is wrong.

The best thing about ishiguro's work is that sometimes he doesn't rub you in the face with the point, you have think about it yourself.

A prime example of this is the soremachi chapter in which the time traveler popularizes the crunchy goo cookie in the past

I love Soremachi. Read the first chapter of this and thought it was an unremarkable Haibane Renmei. I always get frustrated when I update my manga on Tachiyomi and a new chapter of this is the only one.

what did you dislike about it?

it's been too long to give any clear reason, but when I read it just seemed unoriginal, as the whole sanctuary of "dead" kids and whatnot. Because of that I didn't read anymore. Recently more chapters have been put out, which means more notifications, and those notifications not being for a series I like makes irate.

to be fair I also thought it was too generic at the beginning but things are not what they seem and the story pick ups pace

Not sure where the Haibane Renmei comparison is coming from but it's not as slow or SoL as that. The kids part of the story is mostly scifi mystery. i do understand not getting the tone from the first chapter though, it really starts to expand after that.

It's ok, not a huge fan but I don't dislike it either. More frewiemt chapters definitely helped compared to the year long wait.
Anyone here bought the Denpa release? How is it?
