It's difficult to time the top, because you are trying to predict a reversal in trend, this is not easy, you might as well have thought that 6$ was the top, or 7$.
It's easier to trade momentum, which you can't really do on a short time frame, it will take a couple of weeks before we know if this is a consolidation, if the momentum is still bullish and this was a correction, or if we are now bearish and will go down to sub 5 $.

i remember when link reached 4.5$ the first time, it then slowly grinded down to 1.5$ over the next couple of months.
These things have a tendency to trap you, you always believe the bottom is nearby, and you are not gonna sell now because you missed selling at the top, or all the other higher prices you could have sold for.

Well then wait for a retest of a prior support then short from there, or wait for a long and use your stack as collateral for it. Seems less risky than timing the top, although it does look kinda toppy. Still I expect another stab at the 8 dollar region if we are going down (which we may have already gotten, its just it happened in a very short timeframe)
