Subaru and co are finding the solution to her coma in the latest arc. 2 of three possible solutions have come up, the third solution has a low chance of happening so its most likely that Rem is going to be revived in the web novel very soon. I'll give her two years.

arguably both of these, there's a lot cut and changed content and it adds up to where characters have different characterizations or simply their character development happens off screen since the LN cut their scenes.
Subaru is different. That alone should be enough to say it's an entirely different story. A better one in my opinion since he's more emotional, he feels alot more human, especially watching his grief over losing Rem. That in my opinion was one of the worst victims to the LN changes.
