That would imply bitterness. I don't think that was the case. Guy was depressed. He didn't try to save her, to convince her it was a bad idea and that there was another way. He took the logical way out, knew that what she was saying was true, because of their connection and just went along with it. To see Riku fighting so hard for Sarah, he decided to not take the shot, he just couldn't, it would sully Eve's memory, even if there was a possibility of destroying GBN. But after the battle, he just couldn't anymore. Especially knowing that Riku was in the right and Sarah could be saved while keeping GBN as is. That if he had just tried, Eve could have gotten out too.
