Boku no Hero Academia

Why did the author retcon Endeavor?

because hori is incapable of creating genuine character development

I know you're too young to understand, but people can change over time.

It's called character development, you retard

How long has it been since the sport festival?

because he needed to live

6 months or so

The festival was in mid/late spring and the second internship started in January.

So in 6 months he did a complete 180 after 2 decades of acting the same way. Definitely a retcon

literally this
>And the #2 hero will be an abusive husband/father!
>and then All Might loses his powers and has to retire
>now the #2....becomes... oh shit how do I make an abusive husband/father likable?
>fuckit nobody will remember. just ignore it and move on. they all reconciled!
tho it is a very japanese thing to do by 'reconciling with someone' by just ignoring all the bad shit and hoping no further bad shit goes down

How is the man realizing his obsession with chasing the number one spot has made him blind to the pain he's inflicted on his wife and children and thus working to be deserving not only of the number one spot that was thrust upon him, but also of his family's forgiveness a complete 180?

should have just killed endeavor off, retired all might and started off fresh with hawks as #1 hero

>retcon
He didn't.

Because it just happens

He achieved the goal of becoming #1 himself though
He doesn't need shouto to do it
Also bearing the burden of being #1, alongside his near death experience probably had a lot to do with it
But actually he only changed now because it's just now that he was focused on.
Character growth only happens when we watch.

In that 6 months, the number 1 hero he's been obsessively chasing after got btfo'd and hero society had it's biggest shake up since the prime days of AfO

A shake up that we never see nor experience

Gotta fit those training arcs and filler concerts in somewhere user

We do see it? Quirk erasing bullets, Stain's manifesto, League of Villains, AfO incarceration, People's liberation army, Quirk Duplication/Theft, Nomu's on par with he Number 2 hero produced en masse. Endevour has inherited the number 1 position in the worst of times. Just one of those things might have alone been enough to make someone introspect very deeply

Most of these were a thing before AM even retired

We never saw endeavor introspecting and self reflecting from them though. You're writing the story for hori

But its not a shake up because AM retired

He needed to reach his goal to understand how wrong he was, there was no other way. The moment he got the position, he understood that being number 1 meant nowhere near what he thought it meant and his entire life perspective he hold up for decades collapsed in a matter of days. That's why he looked for AM in first place. To understand what the hell he had to do now with that position and, ironically, it was Shoto that gave him the answer: secure the future. Which is actually a pretty damn better goal than AM's itself (secure the present)

Precisely, and then AM lost his quirk almost straight after. And so not only did Endeavor inherit a pile of shit, but he then had to deal with a subsequent pile of shit too. Such things would prompt a deep some life reflection in any hero

It's not headcanon, it's more basic critical though.
>>We never see Deku shitting so it's headcanon to assume he shits

It would be nice to see him reflecting. Or see him dealing with the fall out. You know like at all.

Nice fanfiction though that sounds good. Almost like genuine character development. Which is why it didnt happen

I love how you compare endeavour's supposed off screen character development to literal shitting. Pottery user, nice job.

You won't give up aren't you faggot? Even if he was retconned "which is not" people love him. He's becoming more and more popular every day and your little hate threads you make every day won't change that.

You're right. The current arc just happened to come about through peace and tranquility.

Except we never experienced it
There is a big difference between skipping stuff like
>Humans shit
and
>"Oh no I have no idea what am I meant to do, my goal and everything around me is collapsing. Everything I did was for nothing and now im hated by everyone and society is getting more dangerous"
We just skipped over the most important part of his character and suddenly jump into him becoming a super good guy who really loves his family

Well he cannot ret con it now because
Obviously
>200+ chapters of abusive todoroki
>Vigilantes now makes him a psycho murderer of villains

>He achieved the goal of becoming #1 himself though
He doesn't consider himself the 'real #1'. He didn't earn that role by being better than All Might. He got it because All Might became physically incapable of being a hero.

>when the spinoff is more faithful to the characters and the world building
