I'm 9 episodes into E7 and still don't have any interest in the characters or the story, when does this show pick up?
This is one of the very few big name shows left on my backlog and I'm seriously disappointed so far: >surfing physics don't contribute anything but looking cool >foreshadowing that there's a secret to do with Renton and his dad is so heavy that's actually really annoying - just tell us already! >Eureka is an unchanging autist >Renton is an unchanging naif >Gekkostate mysteriously follows Holland despite him being a terrible leader who treats other people like shit So far the only thing that stands out as above average for this show is the music, there are some great tracks here.
Around episode 12 or so there's a big Scub hurricane thing and they encounter Anemone for the first time. If you finish that whole encounter and still aren't feeling it you can probably drop it. The very best parts of the series are still later, but if you don't enjoy that then you'll probably only enjoy small parts of the series and it won't be worth it for you. If unchanging characters is your issue, they do have quite a bit of development (whether that's enough for the series length might be up to your own judgment).

thanks user, I'll give it until 12 then

I watched it long ago, but mostly remember it as a bore where you were supposed to fap to the young love of MC and femMC, but it was annoying too. It also has a couple of side characters who fucked and a gay (?) character. Oh, also its continuation is considered abomination even among fans, but I didn't watch it, so don't know.

Its been a few years since I rewatched it but I remember feeling like it didnt hold up. It was a decent show to watch in the 2000's when this was one of like 4-5 animes they ran on Adult Swim and your options were slim. but with greater verity we have now, the E7 anime is pretty mediocre. It has its moments though... and Eureka is still one of my waifus for nostalgia reasons, but otherwise, meh.

Backtracing now, get ready to drown in fury.

>a gay (?) character I've watched this entire show twice and don't remember a poopdick character anywhere.

Best part of this show is the soundtrack and anemone
I enjoyed it for the setting, mood, and side characters, but honestly couldn't care less about most of the main characters. Eureka and the kids especially.

It was made with love!

I loved it from episode 1, one of my favorite shows. Everything from 'Substance Abuse' to 'Memento Mori' was a 10/10 for me.
It doesn't. I sat through the whole thing, it gets cute and shit, but ... that's about it. It won't magically "get better" as it goes on. The cast is shit and will remain shit for 95% of the show. Oh and be prepared to have a metric ton of retarded themes shoved in your face.
It's also been a while since I watched it but I do remember a fag character, unless I'm mistaking it for the one from TTGL
Gabriel Murphy
i dont think e7 had fags but it had niggers, sheboons and racemixing to compensate
Jackson Martinez
This show has some of the best character development arcs i've ever seen, you just aren't seeing them in episode 9 yet because it's relative to the 50 eps. It's like you were still at episode 2 in any 1-cour anime
Also Eureka a cute and best girl ever nobody can change my mind
