First of all, I’m gonna be blunt: I ship EM. The reason goes way back from the first chapter. I’m sure some can understand why. But here’s the thing, why does everyone think Historia is such a great character? She has a legacy of royalty, just like Mikasa, she‘s pretty and all, just like nearly every female character. Her character development is just going from sweet, pretty girl to a queen who is still a sweet pretty girl. The phrase “worst girl” makes me cringe, and every post with fan art of her as queen shows that everyone worships her or something. The only things she has done that are important to the story are going against her dad and becoming queen. Going against her Dad is actually not that special as most think( I mean, she just met her Dad anyway, it’s like taking the side of a stranger) and while she was queen, no information other than taking care of one orphanage is given to how she’s very fit to be one. After all, it’s not like she has great strategic skills or great qualities to be a leader.

Another reason why I dislike her is because of the fact that the fandom agrees that she slept with Eren. I don‘t understand why people ship them. The only chemistries they have are their royal bloodline and how both of them are good-looking. What happened to the ship of Ymir and Historia? One might argue that Ymir is dead, but isn’t Eren going to be as well? How does Historia deserve Eren in any way other than being a queen from a royal bloodline. She doesn’t love him( or it’s not confirmed or hinted at all) and saved him once (unlike Mikasa who saved him many times). I don’t understand how the hooded man could’ve been Eren. Why would Eren ever want a kid? Isn’t it against what he wants? The longer the royal bloodline, the more hate? What if the hooded “man” could be someone on Zeke’s side, who asked Historia to fake a pregnancy. Eren has no need for a child.
