I've watched seven episodes of this. I don't particuarly care for any of the characters and it feels slow and aimless. Is there a point I should hold out to were it gets good, or do I just drop it?

Look if you don't enjoy seeing Shana being badass and cute you might want to drop this one.

Read the Wikipedia synopsis and watch the third season.

Sounds like it's just not your cup of tea.

it takes a huge fucking twist
season 1 is more like slice of life trying to build stuff up

it's not that good

S1 and S2 are kinda garbage in general, but S3 is fantastic.

Read the novels, s1 and s2 aren't really good adaptations

Don't watch S3 if you want to save yourself an aneurysm.

It's really not good. 3rd season is overrated by some fans. Watch something else.

It's a really good chuuni urban fantasy, 3rd season is great. Continue watching it

But S3 was the best season. S2 caused the most pain when how boring it was.

Okay so basically the two first seasons are mediocre while the 3rd one is cool. Doesn't seem worth it IMO. Thanks for your input.

S3 is a clusterfuck of character derailment. But go ahead if that's your thing, I guess.

What? If anything S1 and S2 are the derailment because it changed so many shits
S3 at least used the novels and attempted to stick to it even if it was a bit rushed

>watching haremshit

The novels S3 adapted were a clusterfuck of character derailment as well.

Yeah no, you don't even know what's in it because it's not translated

I know enough to assure you Shana's character was completely ruined.

Post proofs then

You're free to remain skeptical. For me S3 is proof enough that the show went to shit.

Shakugan no shana is probably one of the best series out there.

if you love to read I recommend the Light Novels and manga. the anime is still good too of course but i got a better experience with those.

I was instantly impressed from the first episode due to the HAUNTING ATMOSPHÆRE and music, and that ending theme.

And then game Season 2 and every other episode was beach and culture festival filler, and they somehow managed to make room for that, but cut out all the character development that explained Yuuzi's change of sides in season 3.

Apart from that inexplicable change, Season 3 was very good though, especially the end of it, though it lacked the haunting atmosphære for the most part.

I also don't like how Tigusa turned Syana into a sexual moralfag who at first didn't get why kisses would be a big deal.

I watched it for the soundtrack and Yuuji

He was pretty hot in the final season

Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!

I think this is one of those things that didn't hold up for me, looking back on it.
The Friagne stuff was great in the first season as was the ending, but in hindsight the exposition is horrible, the second season's animation is inconsistent and it has too many fillers, yet then you get some cool stuff like Sabrac and Margery's backstory, the transition between season two and three is poor and the season itself is all over the place.

I wanna drink Shana's breast milk.

Seeing Shana ending up the show as a defanged submissive wife of a wifebeater killed the show for me.

>I wanna drink Shana's breast milk.
Well, the new novels actually give him breasts, so there's good news for the degenerates.

What were they thinking?

great characters in bad anime

>new novels
Please elaborate.

I think we would need to see her naked to compare and make sure she just isn't trying to make her breasts look bigger for some reason.
