Storytime threads are one of the few decent threads in Zig Forums right now. Sure, One Piece and Dragon Ball threads are excessive and ridiculous but compared to the daily general threads we get for all shounen titles, the "Is your order coffee" chino threads, the spam of shipping shitposting threads for romcoms, the pseudo-gacha shit threads, the tits/ass/tomboy threads, etc - you get the idea- it's not that bad. It preserves board culture and encourages actual discussion, and requires some actual effort from the part of the OP

I have never seen a cancerous thread of storytime on my entire years lurking Zig Forums. It's the best place to discuss manga with like minded people who like a certain title, especially the obscure one. If there were people who dumped a popular manga, it's good for them and it's better than creating low quality thread with nothing but a shitposter in it.

Right now I'm going through a series right now and I like to keep an eye on storytime threads because I like to read reactions, comment, etc from other people. Sometimes pages which are cool or interesting don't generate any sort of replies which is disappointing though. I wish more people would participate sometimes in fact.
