Link only needs to be as valuble as the collaterol required to run the contracts. Noone knows how much collaterol will be required for every trype of contract but I doubt that it will ever surpass 1% of a contracts total value. Only specific types of derivstives will benefit from the blockchsins deterministic nature.

Let me put it this way. If link absorbs 1% of the value of the contracts running it and 10% of the derivatives market is running on chain that puts chainlink at about 1 trillion market cap.

No market has ever surpassed the market cap of gold. Crypto doesn't even work yet. Most people and businesses don't want to jump onto a new technology until it's proven itself.
