Opinions on Stone Ocean?

I just finished up part 6 of Jojo. I really liked it. Especially compared to parts 3 and 5. But I hear people really hate it? Opinions?

I didn't like it. The characters were boring to me and the conflict felt forced.

it's great
great villain. good structure. good action and twists.
I always compare it to part 5. the protagonist is stronger because of her relationship to previous characters, and the ending is better done.

people hate it because they are retarded stupid have no brain they are poopy brains

What part has been your favorite? Curious to see

Part 5
>Giorno is multilayered as a protagonist, showing extensive growth and change in ways that aren't spoonfed to the average reader
>Best cast, every member of the gang is deep enough to be the protagonist of their own series
>Best fights in the whole series, combines the best of action as well as tactical strategy
>Best pacing, every arc is vital to the story and moves the plot forward. No filler
>Deep themes and philosophy that comments about society and religion
>Diavolo is the most nuanced villain Araki has wrote
>Italy, nuff said
>Very few female characters
>Sets up the potential to be expanded upon in future works like PHF which elevate the story to a whole new level entirely
When you think about it Part 5 is basically soft seinen, it's not just good for a manga but arguably one of the highest achievements in literature in the 20th century.

To be honest I liked it too, but i feel that the ending for part 6 is what upsets people. For me, it's the saddest ending in all of JoJo, everyone we knew is gone and replaced, Emporio would be going through some serious mental shit.
>Stopped the "bad" guy's plan, but at what cost?
All of Jonathan's lineage.
People that I recommended part 6 said that Jolyne wasn't really their favorite either. I like Jolyne, but I still think Johnny is the best Jojo.

Really deserves the name "Bizarre"
Loved Pucci and expanding on Dio's character.
The first half was a slog, the second half was great.

>giorno is a well developed character
Take your (You)

this must be bait

i wasnt a huge fan
so many ass pulls

I think Jolyne is a serviceable JoJo, def not my favorite. Only read to part 6 tho, no idea on Johnny.
Joeseph>Josuke>Jolyne>Jonathan>Jotaro>Giorno

it'll always be known as that part you have to force yourself to get through so you can get to part 7

This

In terms of character progression, Johnny is the best.

Unironically this.

I just hope that the anime doesn't get delayed for freaking fire force

>>Giorno is multilayered as a protagonist, showing extensive growth and change in ways that aren't spoonfed to the average reader
I know this is bait but man, this gave me a good chuckle. Well played.

The plot is messy but Jolyne character is actually develop well.

>I hate my dad
>Wait a minute, no I don't
>I love my dad
>I actually have no personality now
>Dies

I enjoyed it, Jolyne is a nice Jojo and i kind of find her similar to Joseph, another Jojo i love. Enrico Pucci is a great villain, a very proactive one on top of that so we got plenty of action with him against Jolyne and her friends. Some points in it were boring and weak, but most of parts get those anyways. Solid part, sadly people tend to overhype part 7 (pt7 is good as well, though) a lot so pt6 gets the end of the stick most of the time, i definitely recommend reading it.

Stone Ocean can be a bit rough on the first read, especially if you've seen people really hype up part 7 and it makes you just want to rush through part 6 like it's a chore. I really came to appreciate Stone Ocean on a reread. Jolyne is an excellent Jojo and Pucci is one of the best villains in the series. Stone Ocean also has the best ending in my opinion, the tone of the second half of SO in general was great.

The arcs and themes of 6 are really really solid, the pacing and the stands can be pretty bullshit at times and hard to push through. Still my 2nd favorite part though.

best arc

Strong premise, weak middle, amazing ending. I love how the Underworld fight spirals out of control and how even Pucci is disgusted with Versace

Part 7 chads, anime when? Never?

filtered lol

2024/2025, two years after Stone Ocean, but honestly I would be fine if the anime stops at part 6

There's no reason for DP to stop at SO though.

Why did Araki draw Jolyne so ugly at times like on this cover? It’s like he never quite figured out how to draw her, one of my biggest gripes with Stone Ocean

I want to lick Jolyne's feet
