The direction of this is all over the place, I'm supposed to laugh or feel bad, I just don't know.

I'm on episode 6 and I'm laughing. The deaths are so abrupt they're funny. I have no idea where this shit wants to go or wants to be

Yuasa's disaster series.

I liked it. It was a bit silly at times tho

Yuasa was the director and Pyeon-Gang Ho was the series director, so Yuasa was in charge. Yuasa was also in the storyboarding credits for twice as many episodes as Pyeon-Gang Ho.

Basically, but those silly moments were many and ruined the immersion/connection with the events of the series to me, with a better direction(or any to be honest) the series would had been great but meh, I would give it a 6/10 at least you tried.

Pretty much, I have no clue why so many people refuse to realise it

This is actually a demonstration of some of the show’s best in terms of visuals even if the direction/story boarding is fucking awkward. But the drawings themselves are on point.

Polygon, strangely enough

A couple of the episodes have got legitimately good animation, but most of them are mediocre and some even downright broken from a production standpoint. It's quite telling that Japan Sinks was made alongside Eizouken as a lower-priority show and it shows.
