Now that SEVENS is on hiatus again, I think this would be a good time to discuss previous series and how they stack up to SEVENS.
How much longer will SEVENS be a complete joke? Will it pull a GX and become serious near the end, or will it stay silly from start to finish?

There's nothing to discuss. Sevens is objectively weaker. Every other series besides GX had its plot established better 9 episodes in and its character arcs already started. GX's excuse is being an unplanned sequel so it appeared weaker but it had higher stakes and better character writing 9 episodes in as well. The only thing Sevens excels in is being a toy commercial because all it cares about is selling its product.

If you showed this to me back in 2001 and told me this is what Yu-Gi-Oh! would be like in 2020, I would have legitimately cried. This looks like it should be in Precure or Cocotama, not Yu-Gi-Oh!.

It's not really vrains fault since this is a different studio. Also remember we are in the middle of a pandemic. Besides, its not like Vrains didn't have problems either.

Bridge is a different studio with different staff. And production clearly started several months in advance and likely while VRAINS was close to finishing. If anything its the fault of an inferior studio and its staff to not even have 12 episodes ready with that much time.

How about we don't have sevens at all? No one asked for that show. Everyone just wanted a more serious show that was ambitious like ARC-V but had the animation of ZEXAL. And we got a show that's even less ambitious and the worst animated show yet.
And Drains should have never existed to begin with, wasting literally everything to the point that Sevens doesn't have the proper resources and budget, forcing these dumb hiatuses and recaps

How is it Gallop's fault that Bridge doesn't have the proper resources? And the budget was already calculated ahead of time. They were planning to do Sevens as early as s2. They gave Gallop a budget for whatever episodes left they wanted it to have and then focused on moving to a new studio for Sevens. Gallop just used whatever the producers gave them for Vrains which again was all calculated. It's not like they had their production issues and cried for more resources because that didn't happen.
It's actually fun unlike sleep inducing vrains.

I'm going to put the blame more on Konami mishandling their budget than I am on Gallop, the money that went to Gallop to make Drains should have been used for Bridge and Sevens instead

It's likely that it's a mix of outsourced animation because bridge is small as fuck and bridge is doing another anime so all their best people are probably working on that.

The only reason why there seem like "less" that cares about Sevens is because Drains literally turned everyone away from the YGO anime and then there are those that are not giving Sevens a fair chance

1. The entire bathroom scene is either removed or heavily censored.
