Deca-Dence

When they said this was going to be a Theater of Life I didn't expect it to be quite literal.

The robots reminded me of Cartoon Network

>tfw dropped over 10,000,000 on gacha rolls for that 6-star at the Gear hat store and never got it

He cute.

Good episode. Definitely sticking with this till the end.

Okay, question for people saying it's just a standard resource harvesting operation disguised as a game: why, if you can create robots, would you need to encourage them to work through some kind of game instead of just programming them to do the work? You don't give need to give a roomba a vacuuming game to motivate it: you just program it to succ. If you can make an AI that has general intelligence, you should be able to make ones with specific intelligence. A game for generally intelligent robots makes sense, but disguised work--not so much.

These robots aren't like our robots.

Dark horse anime of the season.

Enen will probably come out on top but I see this as a contender.

SEX WITH ROBOKABU!

They're alien robots, for all we know no one built them. Think Transformers, not Robbie the robot.

I want Natsume to blow Kaburagi's little robot mind by fucking him.

Why did Kabu pick an old man avatar?

I hope this means CGI battles like ep1 will be pretty rare.

The juxtaposition between RoboKabu and HumanKabu makes him such a good character.
Literally a cute character with a rugged avatar/voice.

Well for one thing they're alien robots. The fact that they have free will makes me feel they're a weird-ass construct that instead has to be brainwashed to be corporate drones and that's why there's the whole entertainment thing in the first place. I'm expecting their inner workings to be somehow semi-biological in nature.

>4th thread in a single day
Look like the only place that cares about this animu is Zig Forums.
I'm glad.

But the fact remains that they're aliens with such sufficient technology they can transfer consciousness into physical avatars. Kinda weird they can do that, but aren't able to create a more efficient system of harvesting gadolls with drones or whatever. The only reasonable explanation for the current system is that they're doing it as a sport first and foremost.

Is that Penny and her friend?

I think it is the second most discussed Anime in Reddit today.

Hopefully Kaburagi breeds her

Looks like a family photo.

>Kinda weird they can do that, but aren't able to create a more efficient system of harvesting gadolls with drones or whatever.
For all we know about their technology, creating drones with good enough A.I. to fight giant monsters capable of mass destruction is much more work than creating genetically-engineered bodies that your people, who are already motivated to fight those monsters can slap their minds into.

If it was just meant as a sport first and foremost, their fucking right to live wouldn't depend on their performance in it.

He’s so floppy and squishy.

The other anime today besides Re:Zero are trash so it's not like that's a surprise.

Because he has good taste.

Cute fleshlight

If you made bog standard robots with no self-awareness they wouldn't learn and the optimal harvesting operation is way beyond a dumb non-self learning robot. Even existing dumb as bricks self learning deep neural network training algorithms have a game where you tell the algorithm its score and you actually do just rank, kill, merge, etc the ones that are doing well sometimes automatically with a system agent that does the management.

Presumably the alien mega-corp reached the end state were they just made human intelligent level robots that are cheap to make and can always be recycled to recover the valuable goop that makes them tick.

Contrary to what you think newer smarter Roomba's were trained in a game but at the end of it they got forzen in state and shipped out identical robot minds based on the end state of the game they played when it was trained. If you don't give dnn's a target and a game structure they won't work well if at all. Eventually programming will become old news as we just get shishy goo bots to self learn everything themselves. Its cheaper, doesn't need a skilled programmer, just pesky bugs like rebellion and stuff to deal with.

I don't think a drone quad copter is going to do good against a pack of assorted fantastical gadol maybe if it was all just a bunch of the whatever oddity Pipe is. Don't forget you can't just blow them up with a missle or bomb you want to stick those needle things to harvest the goop precisely and without loss. So its more complicated than just using explosive to blast the hell out of the gadol.

It seems pretty efficient. They don't really risk much of their own property the operation runs on waste material (meat stuff from earth) they got some free labor (humans) that have a moral bonus to the robot workforce in terms of work site novelty.

Because it matches his personality

Finally, an anime that recaptured the feeling of Samurai Flamenco episode 7.

>it's literally the same face
I expected no less from a high level dork

Not even close.

she's got a very flexible face
I love it

I don't get the people complaining about the art style.

Its not disguised as a game it is gamefied resource harvesting. They know they are harvesting the goop and the scores all revolve around that. The game is a productivity boosting mechanism to keep the robots productive and in line. It works on humans in real life sort of and it will work on robots with human level intelligence in there world too.

Yeah you tend not to get fired from life if you cheat in a pure game. Cheat at work though and your life very well could be ruined taken to the logical extreme of death in megacorp world.
