The next day I called and told them I was Oprah’s manager, she was in town, and heard that was the best restaurant. They said they were booked, but she’s get the manager. I shmoozed him for about 5 min and told him we’d have about 10 people joining. The next day I called back and cancelled. The guy had my number at this point and called me for a whole week trying to get Oprah in there. I kept telling him “maybe” and then acting like she might have time. I’m pretty sure it drove them fucking nuts once they figured out I was fucking with them.

We did, I think they bumped some people to give us one. Then we cancelled. We actually looked into getting an Oprah Impersonator to fly out, but it would have cost us like $10k+ so that wasn’t feasible. Had that worked out we would have shown up with the impersonator and some weirdos off craigslist or something and filmed the whole thing.
