Art progression thread? art progression thread, then
Been reading this and just started Omega. His progression is insane. Even from the end of Asura to the beginning of Omega there’s a huge leap in progress espescially in design and expression.
Kinda feel like that Ishida is very underrated when it comes to how quickly he's improved his art to such high levels in only a couple of years.
Sadly, it doesn't really show in the second half of the manga/final arc because he's just not that consistent. You could see he actually had the time and energy to go all out on doublespreads back then.
he progressed a lot over the years
>Art gets better, story gets worse
Every time
But then you didn't read my post correctly. His art got less consistent and more messy towards the end due to him starting to cram tons of panels in a single page. His art is noticeble worse in the second half of :re, even though he never lost that talent. Feel like he just wanted to end his manga

Shit
Ishida is the GOAT mangaka. Love him.
Too bad art in Omega turns to shit and looks like he badly shooped faces onto 3d models
I love how Ishida started to draw mouths/noses from 2017 onwards (exactly like in the Rize image)
I love Ishida's art.
Hopefully he'll be back with a monthly manga, he needs a better schedule so that he won't burnout like in the second half of :Re.
Late game Ishida felt souless, it reminda me Bleach where the drawing got better and smoother but everyone started looking the same.
Also someone post Usogui.
