My theories about Yamato:
-Kaido always called her "son", because he doesnt want to acknowledge his offspring as a female, because they are weaker(making a call back to the whole deal with Kuina). Yamato becoming Oden had nothing to do with it
-She has the Baihu fruit
-Her "powerlevel" is between flying six level to commander level(maybe full commander level when using her DF)
-She got the idea of becoming Oden from Hiruluk, who imo went to Wano 20 years ago, and Wano is the place where he saw the cherry blossoms and was cured by that(or maybe there is something in Wano related to the panacea, hopefully leading to some Chopper development and a cure for the smile fruit)
-She probably thinks that Luffy is the new joyboy, and thats the real reason why she wants to join

while cool, it seems pretty unlikely that a dude as weak as him made it all the way to the New World and into Wano. They're also pretty hostile towards strangers.

Idk, I get that I should be shocked that Kaido betrayed his drinking buddy like that but their friendship was always just a meme from a few panels of them laughing together. It was clear Kaido always saw him as a means to an end or Orochi wouldn't have needed to buy him off in the first place.

I was shocked. I knew Kaido "killed" him from the spoilers but I never a read a version that said he sliced Orochi's face in half.

I think I'm gonna stop reading spoilers for the rest of Wano because I loved being caught off guard

I mean it's pretty obvious, even if Yamato, the scabbards, and all the samurai died next chapter Kaido would probably think about him wistfully as the only man who could ever hold a candle to him.

They arent his heir, i don't doubt he thinks some woman are strong, like Big mom, but the leader of the beast pirates has to be the strongest, and since he probably wants Yamato to suceed him i belive that was the line of thinking he took
