That show was great. The manga is even better.
Gate is held up entirely by it's premise of modern soldiers vs fantasy world. Everything else about this show is average at best. Read the Manga though, it's a lot better.

It's trash but so were both seasons of Haruhi (the movie is the only part worth watching). So i'd rather watch a season focused on actual best girl being cute for 14 episodes instead of Haruhi's annoying ass and her stupid adventures that go nowhere.
