Finish it first. If people enjoyed it, it'll spill over anywhere without your control. You could start by posting it in your own blogsite or something.

The path to learning isn't so linear, binary or particularly well understood by most people in the first place, while also being constantly muddied by people who either grossly exaggerate or understate their experiences and how much effort they actually put into things.
You could put your all into everything but if you did it without critical thought, guidance or direction then it's actually understandable why "less experienced" people might sail past you. It's just as likely you didn't use your time effectively, not that you're incapable.
