Things you want to see in a manga

So I am designing a manga but what are some things you want to see in manga. I haven't figured to much out yet and I am still learning to draw so just mainly non specific to the source material. Things like kinds of characters you want to see, cool settings, etc

Please for the love of God don't set it in a generic fantasy world (yes this includes an MMO or video game world) or centre it around high schoolers

This is now a recc thread
Are there any space shonen currently being released? I'm sick of magic fantasy settings

Yeah I was thinking something like advance wars if you know anything about that. I was thinking something simmilar to one piece but less goofy but still a sense of adventure with some politics. The cast would be 25 and up mostly . No highschoolers

>simmilar to one piece
this is already a red flag for failure

MC is a black man
The villains are white bois who get feminized after the MC defeats them.

Sorry OP, my ideas for storytelling seems vastly different from yours, I can't help you but I wish you the best along the way.

I more meant old one piece. I know this sounds dumb but I was watching a video on this guys one piece read through review and just hearing him get emotional about it kinda inspired me to make something. I don't wanna make a one piece clone, I just want the same feeling it gave me when I was like 10

Absolutely perfect

Thanks user. It may have some light fantasy I am not sure though. Thanks for the wishes

Only if every arc the MC gets a bit feminized too, and by the end he figures out that he was only projecting unto others what he wanted for himself, becoming a full time bimbo slut.

Tanks And Skanks

High school and middle school are overdone but college less so, you could try that.

creative paneling and meme faces

one word: GIANT TITS

Yeah thanks user
I will try, see I used to think I wanted to be a director so I know a little about cinematography and angles so that may help. It seems everything I wanna do is hard so I may as well do the hardest one.
EPIC!!!

Forgot to say why my name is that. My nickname for a while was frog, can't even remember why at this point

Characters that have minor abilities or traits that get shown rather thand told. I hate when theres a long intro to character that detail their skills or pre fight exposition about how baller some dude is.

Yeah I am trying to figure out how to be better at showing and not telling. I have been told that assuming your audience gets what your saying is the best approach.

I want long intros of characters describing their skills

Well fuck. In a way you have taught the lesson that I can't please everyone

This is something I've been struggling with for a long time as an artist.
I do everything I can to show and not tell in my work, but then I sometimes get people messaging me asking what's going on in the scene.
It's annoying and feels discouraging to think your work isn't good or easy enough for people to understand, but it's much better to work and assume your readers are not actually idiots. This way, when you do accrue an audience, it will be an audience of smart people. Dumb people will rake in easy money (this is why all popular anime is stupid and have giant fanbases of morons), but smart people are the only people who will make you feel proud and accomplished due to respect.

>when you do accrue an audience
Bold of you to assume I will make it. But seriously thank you for that.

If you want my honest advice, don't just throw in elements because they're things people want to see. Pandering like that might get you some attention, but it's not ultimately going to count for much; your work and therefore your audience is going to be very lowest common denominator, and your audience will soon get distracted by something else and forget about you.

Figure out the story you want to tell. Figure out how to tell it in an engaging, compelling and entertaining way. Things like the setting, character types, etc, will need to be whatever's best to serve the needs of the story. To a certain extent the details of those can be down to what you want to have, but for the result to be any good, they need to be what YOU want them to be, not what a hypothetical audience would go for.

TL;DR: fuck what we want, put it what you want.

how would you guys like your anime fights what should the choreography be like

Yeah I kinda figured doing what I wanted was probably my best bet. I just don't want to make something people won't connect with at all

This but for manga fights

Have you tried being born in Japan and not being a filthy spic?

Genuine outloud Kek sir. Yeah i know it's a bit cringe but yeah I'm still gonna try
