You guys underestimate the power of Chinese slave labor. Think 6 rotating 4-hour shifts. Cramming as many humans as physically possible into as little space as possible. Obedient bugment don't slack off when nobody is looking. Quality control inspectors don't care about anything they don't see. As long as it's covered up it's "good enough". End result is a workforce with 3 times the productivity and 1/2 the cost. With the world renowned Chinese quality of course. That's the power of TSLA right now.

Tesla's factories are highly automated and they don't need slave labor. Tesla hasn't relocated all their production to China because of this, they can actually produce cars in high cost countries like the US and Germany and come out ahead compared to shipping cars directly from China. >Quality control inspectors don't care about anything they don't see All the quality control issues came out of the Fremont factory because California labor is trash.
