There is one instance of Illya's switch being flipped as a gag. Claiming that she's show serious romantic interest is delusional. In all other instances, she's treated Miyu as nothing other than her best friend.

I never claimed that she shows serious romantic interest. But a tiny bit of romantic interest is enough to make a Miyu x Illya ending possible in some timeline. There could always be some slice of life after the Miyuverse arc is over where things are developed more.
A yuri ending is very unlikely though, I doubt we'll actually get one.
