Would the ending have been more impactful if Saito had killed louise for real? as in, permanently. Yamaguchi already had the bad habit of making characters come back from the supposed or literally death, curtailing the impact while also rendering pointless the drama. I wouldn't be against a downer ending, as the last volumes were a bit of a stretch from how yamaguchi would've done it.

I did not start with the spoilers in OP as the current image is more recognizable than that of the next post. Maybe yeah, the spoiler tag was unnecessary but I felt the need to because it was Saito kills louise but not really
