What you need to understand is to make money off AMPL you simply need to calculate.
Future Supply > Price * Supply ?
If yes, then buy, if no then sell.

If it hits 10 cents each, that means it's
Future Supply > 39,047,576 ?

To put in perspective, it would require 22 days straight of -10% rebase periods to go lower than 39 million supply.

As far as I understand it, if I buy lets say 1000 AMPL for euros, then hold for one year, it's tax free in my country to sell for euros again. But if I buy ETH, and then instantly trade it for AMPL I didn't have that 1 year wait, which makes it taxable.
Even it annoys you, it's financially a smart idea to think about taxes. Most people just jump into it blindly and worry about taxes later, which can either be costly, you could have avoided it, or if you get caught trying to avoid taxes that you are owed you can get in trouble. Don't get me wrong, I hate taxes as much as anyone which is why I'm trying to plan ahead
