asta has a big sword

This is not a sword. This is a choppa. I see no reason why this thing wouldn't break at the handle, but ork magic.

Too edgy.

No pun intended.

I wouldn't mind having anime adaptation of Klim Zhukov's "Emperor's Soldier" novel about an alien sent to medieval Europe disguised as a Landesknecht.

that sounds amazing

everyone made fun of it and then the people who liked it felt bad

sounds horrible and pulpy

its actually called Landknecht but fine

Realismfags

>sounds horrible and pulpy
It would be pulpy if it wouldn't be written well and if author wouldn't know shit about medieval period. Thankfully, author knows what he writes about and he does it quite good.
I got one extra "e", sorry.
First, it's alright when you have a sword about as tall as you are. It's realistic.
Second, if realismfags were in charge, we would see more sensible armour and weapon designs in fantasy.

Here's a list

Because Zabuza Sword cannot be beat.

You have to go back

Massive swords were used throughout history though.

They weren't.

Its literally magic; way down the line in the manga it displays a hidden ability to regrow any of its lost mass by converting blood into metal

Okay

wait for kenpachi in the new bleach anime

kinda overused

I just want an anime about medieval Europe with decent-looking swords and clothing (this means no overdesigned shit), fantasy elements kept to minimum and good storyline.

Because the size of a character's sword is directly proportional to the size of their pp

Says a lot about current year protags

nips realised it's even dumber than mecha

The nips wank too much over their own history to ever produce anything like that. Closest we get is Berserk's Golden Age arc.

>Greatswords weren't a thing
They were literally developed as a counter to spear walls that were common in European infantry. The Scottish claymore is also an iconic weapon. They weren XBOGHUEG like in anime, because that's clearly fantasy, but to assert they have no basis in reality is idiotic

Tl:Dr ; you are a retard and a faggot

There was one decent one but I can't remember the name of it.

>I swear it's true, I read it on the internet

Massive swords like Zweihanders were only used in formations to push away or make an opening against pike formations, they were never used in normal combat like anime characters do.

Some big swords in Nier:Automata, Final Fantasy.
There's still some big swords

Anime is based in Japan. If you want this you need to get a western studio together that isn't BigMouth tier shit

>Massive swords like Zweihanders were only used in formations to push away
Not only in formations. Montantes were used as self-defence weapons, because italians and spanish people overcompensate. They had longer rapiers, huge pocket knives, and considered montante to be a good self-defence tool

Did somebody call?
